Ads for Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection

so, i’ve been seeing ads for the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and it’s basically a fancy ass cruise. i’m wondering what number crunchers thought this was a good idea as an offering. why did the Ritz think acquiring a fleet of yachts to rent them out as cruise ships would be lucrative for their business? like is there a billionaire middle class that is wanting to be on a yacht with other people bc they can’t afford to buy one for themselves?

i’m also wondering who tf is the target audience bc i’m seeing this on hulu. do the wealthy watch waste time watching hulu with ads when there’s a no ads version for only $5 more?????

Where you’re at now

You likely are either feeling good about your studies or unsure.

Either way, you’ve probably seen predictions on what will show up and other data about the curve.

In this last week and a half, if you’re feeling fatigued find a day of guiltless rest then lock all the way in until two days before. Stop coming on reddit and reading emails.

Focusing on the data externally is less helpful than focusing on your own data! Up to now, you have diligently practiced all the subject areas so you should be able to track where you’re weak, then you can drill those weak areas until you achieve at least average scores.

If you have strong areas that are foundational, write as many essays as you can on them and get deep doctrinal understanding because chances are, your strong subject(s) will be an MEE or two or three. And if you consistently perform well in those subjects on the MBE, you just have to make sure you have clear understanding of your weak points.

DON’T shy away from them, don’t fear them: go after them head on. be grateful to know your weaknesses because then you know how to study. Think of it like having a sniper rifle instead of a shotgun approach.

Residential references?

How exactly is one supposed to fill this part out? I don’t know my neighbors cut every place I’ve lived and I haven’t always had a landlord.

Can’t put down family or cohabitants…so who? Jesus?

Lyft has no due process??

I was not given an opportunity to submit documentation regarding my appeal.

I also was not given any information about the reported unsafe driving.

What date was the report made and what was the behavior reported? How can I defend against a report without any information?

I have an idea but they never actually told me when or what happened. Not even the bare minimum of information was shared. Is this common? This is how Lyft does business? This can’t be legal. At the very least, it’s unethical.

What?!

I want to appeal this carefully. Any advice?

I know which pax did this. She came in the car on the phone with someone and I greeted her. She didn’t acknowledge me. I interrupted to ask her to put on the seatbelt as I usually do. She rolled her eyes and sucked her teeth but did so. as I was driving on the highway she ended her call at some point. the highway where i live is very winding because there is a ton of construction happening so the workers have made makeshift lanes with cones that curve everywhere. i drive a suv so as i make my turns i can imagine it feels very rollercoaster-y in the back. i drive below the speed limit in this stretch of the highway but no matter what it feels weird because of how narrow the lanes are. she starts joking about how she was in a car accident before and my driving is giving her ptsd. i said hey im sorry but this is the curvature of the lanes i can’t really help the design of the highway. then she says is this why you asked me to put on my seatbelt? she keeps going to a point where im thinking she’s definitely going to low rate me so i ask her does she want me to end the ride early? i tell her that im
always driving safely and the seat belt request is because we don’t know what other dangers are on the roads. she says no i paid so take me and yeah whatever. we get to the gate of the housing complex. there’s another driver in front of us and the gate is closed, but he’s not entering the code or anything so we wait. turns out he’s another lyft driver and he lets this passenger out. she’s wearing pajamas and is quite voluptuous. this guy basically watches her walk all the way around the gate and halfway through the lot before he decides to move. he goes in reverse and backs right into me! i flashed my brights and honked and he still hits me! with the pax in the car! he immediately gets out and apologizes and i’m like wtf how did you not see us we’ve been waiting here for like five minutes. the pax gets out and says i can end the ride and that’s pretty much it. he didn’t hit me hard enough to cause damage, just a nudge so i let him go. i should’ve taken a photo of his tags. this was a couple of days ago so i thought it would be ok but now im deactivated. the last warning i received was related to this sodding highway. this is my only means of income at the moment so idk what to do.

Lyft silent boycott

Tired of these long rides being offered for pennies.

Caught one reserve today.

Jacksonville
to Gainesville: $82.

2.5 hours one way,
midday and 172 miles one way.

My car is $70 to
fill up and is 400 miles full tank.

Made no sense at all. So I accepted it and waited to receive the pax contact. Turns out I was only 7 mins away from where they were. I asked them how much was the fare.

Lyft was charging them $200. I told them I’d do it for $170. They agreed. On the way over, the ride fare updated to $116. Still ass.

I met up with pax. They canceled the ride immediately without me saying anything. Pax sent the money on Apple Cash. Then I drove the trip without any incident. Pax slept the entire way. No incident, no fuss. Pax thanked me. The cancellation fee was the tip.

A good day’s work. Got back to Jax before rush hour.

Thanks Lyft.

P.S. I had some really good bbq for lunch for a really decent price at this place called Summers Smokehouse. Highly recommend.

i picked up some passengers that were very drunk or high this week and an old lady that seemed very sensitive bc no matter how well or slow i drove she seemed to be gripping the seats, even in comfort mode. the last person was this drunk lesbian who said i was bobbing the car or something when i was driving straight as an arrow the entire damn time. i was so confused. i assumed she was talking about the construction on the road that made the highway uneven. i said i can’t control the road conditions, miss. even her partner was like he’s driving fine. this chick def still rated me low even though i waited over five minutes for her to come out after her partner. this is ridiculous

this couple from NY is running an insurance fraud game. i picked them up at Jacksonville airport and they filed an accident claim because i ran over an errant traffic cone. the girl called an ambulance and left in a neck brace despite being completely unharmed. the EMTs, the officers, everyone saw hire ridiculous it was but could do nothing. the guy’s name is Markus and the girl is Carolyn. Markus is usually the lyft caller
