Worst new feature

Today when I opened the app I was introduced to the new Add to Queue gesture by simply swiping to the right. I use Symfonium primarily and was happy to see the gesture I use constantly added to my secondary streaming app! However, the controls are absolutely dog water in my honest opinion. In the past two hours alone, I've added over thirty songs into my queue unwillingly simply because I wanted to scroll. I hope this gets fixed but does anyone know where the toggle is in the meantime?

Can we start being more social?

Some of my favourite memories in Destiny 2 have weirdly been in the Tower. After raids or nightfalls, claiming rewards, you'll usually see somebody with a goofy name. You add them, dance with them or show off your favourite emote right now, and we're all on our own ways.

Guys Local chat exists and it's great. There's been tons of times I've stayed in Tower to continue conversations but nobody uses it very often. Why can't we compliment armor and builds more often in chat? The games dead and the community came back hard, can we be more of a community in game as well? (Sorry console gamers but keyboards should work iirc. I used to use one on Xbox back in Forsaken)

"Install Driver to Show Hardware"

I recently got my hands on a new SSD and I would like to use it to dual-boot Windows so that I can play a particular game that is not allowed on Linux. Unfortunately, I've run into multiple issues with installing the OS itself due to the issue of "Install Driver to Show Hardware".

Obviously, I've searched everywhere and land here.

Here's what I've done so far:

  • Secure Boot off, CSM Mode off
  • Drive is in GPT and cleaned it is a Kingston NV3 M. 2 1TB
  • NVMe settings in BIOS are AHCI, not RAID
  • I've used two USBs to download the latest Windows 10 and 11 versions to no avail, don't think it's a corrupt ISO
  • USB has also been used in the 2.0 port after using the 3.0 ports. I also used an older USB 2.0

I'm about to call it quits, any ideas?

Online, Kingston says they do not require drivers and Windows is ready for them. Am I missing anything else?

Hardware:

Mobo: ASUS B850 PLUS WIFI SSD: Kingston NV3 1TB M.2 (if needed? idk) GPU: ASRock 9060xt CPU: Ryzen 7 9700x

EDIT: Formatting

Any way to sort by user definition in App Drawer tags?

Not sure why I'm able to sort by user definition on the home page, directly define where to place apps on the home screen, but I can't arrange apps in the tags?

Maybe I should be doing this differently but I sort things out by adding them into the tag and add them to folders if needed, otherwise some apps are just in the tag. Am I going about this wrong or am I missing a setting here? I like to have my folders before all other apps

Nova Launcher alternatives with full customization?

TL;DR: Looking for a new Home Launcher that doesn't have AI (Why?*), has theme customization, search engine customization, and something that would provide "tabs" in the app drawer.

Within the past year, since May 2025, Nova has had a significant performance spike on my phone. The only difference between then and now? There's less bloatware on my phone, no more Samsung/Google apps, or ones that are patched and needed, while having MUCH less apps being used on the phone overall. Other than Nova, battery usage is great, notifications are minimal, and I only allow a few background apps, so this shouldn't be the case. I should also mention that my storage is completely fine with only 57% usage.

*I refuse to use AI knowing how they work, so don't even try. I helped with a small, localized LLM in 2021-2022, worked on side projects with them, and now I see how unreliable they are, how simple they are compared to a tabulator/calculator, and how much they will bleed into an upcoming global police-state during the energy crisis and force my future children to endure asthma and much, much worse. This isn't to mention who runs these companies and who uses their services: Stunted brains who only care for profits and don't know what AI actually is. "It's the future" would be if we had one any more. Maybe, if we did it right :/

All-in-all, the Nova Launcher is extremely helpful for a number of things that I use daily and help me in my day-to-day activities. Whether it be writing e-mails, sending a text, writing notes, everything is organized to its own page and works as an extra home screen. I usually keep the home screen very plain and only allow essential apps, so the app drawer being very tidy helps a TON. I usually have about 6 tabs for games, work, social (mailing and browser), lifestyle, customization, and app managers.

These are needed basics:

  • Not subscription based or lifetime payment
  • App Drawer tabs and folders because I NEED to be tidy
  • Lots of customization: Search engine, colour themes, renaming apps, maybe even multiple docks?

Is there any FOSS alternative for something like this, or at the very least, a non-FOSS app that isn't scummy? I'm willing to go away with many of Nova's features but the bulleted points are a must.
