Get a shower

Originally, I wanted to play with hidden colors wildly in this picture. But halfway through, I remembered the client had a clear photographic style they wanted, which was a movie screenshot, so I held back most of it. After all, although the current commission format gives me a lot of freedom, trying my best to express what is in the client's mind should still be put first. The focus of this picture was still on showing the overall texture of the two people being soaked. It was quite fun, and I did homework for quite a long time. Even though I have painted completely wet textures before, I still needed to study how different textures look when wet.
The response to the last commission was not very good. There were some obvious reasons, and although it is limited to personal guessing, I think it is not much different from the actual reasons. This also gave me some deeper understanding and reflection, and extended to the more core problem. It reminds me of the book I May Be Wrong, which mentions: "Everything will pass." Maybe during a low tide, it can be explained as all bad things will pass, but the fact is, even a good state can pass. In the movie World War Z, Brad Pitt told a family who took them in: "Only by keeping moving is there a possibility to find survival." This is obviously no longer just applicable to disaster movies. As the old saying goes: "Life springs from sorrow and calamity, and death comes from ease and pleasure." It is just like this.
When I just resigned from my job, I would take any chance I got, no matter what the result was. Letting more people know me was the right thing to do, and I also reaped many opportunities, with various commercial and private cases to choose from. After that, I was lazy for a while. Looking at this Waterloo (failure) this time, I can't help but smile. Growth after all comes from suffering losses.
If I found a one-time water source in the desert, would I pitch a tent and camp here, or would I rest for a while and immediately look for a real oasis? Recalling a few days ago when I rode a bicycle with my girlfriend, we would always pass by a Korean photo booth store located in a dark alley that no one cared about. Comparing it to a crude unmanned photo booth with a long queue in a crowded tourist area in Thailand with my girlfriend before, the answer in my heart also came along.
If I want to become a classic that makes the streets empty (creates a sensation), I have to first become a pioneer who keeps exploring everywhere, no longer limited to limited water sources. I should be like Chef, traveling around until my experience and skills are enough to settle down in one place. Having said that, I share this to encourage fellow freelancers. The resources on the internet are infinite.
