Our new Ragdoll ❤️

Good morning, everyone!! I wanted to share our new ragdoll kitten that I drove 2 hours to meet this past Sunday. She is 7 weeks old and gets to come home in August. I am so excited!!!! What a great experience I had going to the breeder’s home. She was so open with us and basically gave us a tour of their entire house including bedrooms so I could meet all the cats. I got to meet and hold the mom and dad, see their food and water bowls, their litter robots, and meet all the kittens. I initially wanted a different kitten but she ended up getting reserved by someone else. When I met that kitten in person, she didn’t really enjoy being held by me and my daughter. But the kitten we reserved was so calm with us and took to us really well. My 2-year-old daughter had fun holding all the kittens and I was allowed to take pictures of this as well. It was such a positive experience!!! I am so happy and excited. ❤️❤️

8 week old female

I am going to meet her today. I really want a ragdoll. She can come home at 12 weeks old. Thoughts?

Do we love her?

She is a gorgeous seal mitted TICA ragdoll. Born March 31. She hasn’t found a home yet. I talked to the breeder 2 weeks about her and she is still available!

Bought the Toddler Course

Sleep trained our daughter at almost 9 months old using Taking Cara Babies. Transitioned her to toddler bed at 2 years 9 months and need to rebuild her confidence. Purchased the Toddler course and practiced and prepped over the weekend (red and green light on Hatch, practiced getting into bed with a stuffy). Tonight was Night 1. Sat next to her. Took 10 minutes to fall asleep with 0 crying. I’m a little anxious about her waking up overnight but let’s see how it goes. 🤞🏼

Toddler Girl Sleep Help

Toddler Girl
Age: 2 years 10 months
Sleep trained her with Taking Cara Babies at 8 months 28 days old in May 2024

Daughter has been sleeping extremely well in her crib in her room since we sleep trained her with TCB 2 years ago. 8:30 PM to 8:00 AM. Has never attempted to climb out.

Potty trained her at 2 years 4 months old in December 2025 and she caught on very fast in 2 weeks. She wears panties during the day and a diaper at night.

3 weeks ago she started pooping in her diaper overnight. She did this about 5 or 6 times. I started thinking maybe those hormones are coming and the night time training is about to start.

Purchased a rail to convert crib into a toddler bed. First 5 nights in the toddler bed went extremely well. Schedule and bedtime routine was kept the exact same. She never got out of her new toddler bed.

On the 6th njght, there was a thunderstorm and that’s when it changed. She got out of bed in the middle of the night very scared of the thunder. She got into bed with us.

On the 7th night, we laid her down in her bed as usual. She got up after we closed the door and came looking for us. Took about 6 times to get her to lay down.

On the 8th night, it took 7 times to get her to lay down.

Not only has she started to get out of bed after we lay her down, but she has also started to get out of bed in the middle of the night and join us each night as well.

So, we thought maybe she isn’t ready for a toddler bed and we put the crib back together. That was last night. Lots of screaming and crying upon laying her down. Maybe she also had some anxiety. I brought her into bed with us because she kept saying “mama I need you”. I heard this on the baby monitor and it just broke my heart.

At 4 AM, she was still in our bed, she woke up and said “mama I have to pee”. I carried her to her potty, she peed, then we went right back to sleep. So now I’m thinking sleep regression due to new hormone here that is waking her up to potty?? And that’s why she was pooping several weeks ago??

Anyway, I need help. I want her to sleep in her room in her bed. My husband and I both work in the office 40 hours a week. She also attends preschool 3 times a week. We all need sleep.

If she needs us to sleep, yes, we can co-sleep. We talked about it last night. She is our only child. We know it won’t be forever and I will admit I do love the cuddles. But, before I just give in to that……

How can I get her back in her room? Do I stick with the crib or go back to the toddler bed? I am sick to my stomach that I ruined our very amazing routine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Future Fluffy Cat?

I posted earlier asking if you thought this kitten might be fluffy. The breeder sent me current pictures (11 weeks old) and these are from a few moments ago. Do you think she will be fluffy? I’m not looking for show cat fluff, but I want some fluff. Last 2 pictures are mom and dad

Will she be fluffy?

This kitten just became available! The original buyer changed her mind. This is a younger picture of her but she is 11 weeks old now and will be able to come home this weekend. I want to know if she will be a fluffy ragdoll? I did ask the breeder and she said fluffy but I would like other opinions. Dad is second picture. Mom is third picture.

Dental illness coverage worth it?

Would you say dental illness coverage add-on is worth it for two 9 week old kittens? $12 more a month per kitten

Base Policy: $20
Exam Fee: $7
Dental Illness: $12

My 11 year old cat just got diagnosed with stage 2 dental disease and his treatment is going to cost an estimated $800 to $1,200. His treatment is scheduled for June 9 so we will know final price then. I just can’t decide if I should add on coverage for the kittens or pay dental out of pocket?

Anyone here have Lemonade Pet Insurance that lives in Texas?

I would like to know if Lemonade’s pet insurance policy in Texas has the clause that states they will treat a resolved condition (for example, diarrhea) if the cat has been symptom free for 12 months. I read on their website it is state specific.

Any positive Pets Best CAT stories?

I posted yesterday asking for positive experiences between Pets Best and Chewy administered by Trupanion. Thank you for everyone who replied. I’m leaning towards Pets Best because I have 4 cats and two of them are older cats.

Cat Ages: 11, 8, 9 weeks old, 9 weeks old

My 11 year old has stage 2 dental disease and corneal scarring. He also has vomiting noted on his chart and the doctor included it’s from when he eats my hair and/or table food. I know they can connect vomiting to GI issues so I’m really insuring him incase he develops a urinary blockage, thyroid issues, or diabetes.

I just want to hear positive Pets Best stories because there are so many horror ones.

My questions:
- Age of cat(s)
- What age did you insure them?
- How long did reimbursement take?
- How long have you been with Pets Best?

Trupanion through Chewy vs. Pets Best

Greetings! I have narrowed it down to Trupanion through Chewy versus Pets Best. Lemonade is my third choice and I am extremely apprehensive because of their artificial intelligence model.

I have 4 cats: 11, 8, 9 weeks old, 9 weeks old

$250 deductible, 90% reimbursement, $20K annual cap or unlimited

What’s important to me is:
- Accident and Illness coverage
- Exam Fee coverage
- Prescription Meds coverage (I don’t want to be forced to buy through Chewy, though?)

My 11 year old cat has 2 pre-existing conditions: corneal ulcer scarring and stage 2 dental disease. There is also “vomiting” noted in his record but they included that the vomiting occurs only when he eats my hair and/or table food crumbs. I am aware the insurance company can possibly link this note to future conditions.

Can anyone share their experiences? I just want a reliable company with decent/good customer service.

Pet insurance

NOT looking for medical advice but curious about the best pet insurance for cats? My two kittens are 2 months old so still young with no preexisting conditions. Thank you!

Look at her 😍

Edit: We reserved her!

I haven’t reserved her yet but I would LOVE to have her. Look at that white mane and those white mitts. In her videos she is SO playful and very active. She will be ready to come home June 20. Husband says I can!! Can I see your baby’s mismarks?

Where is your Litter Robot?

I am thinking about getting a second litter robot as I might get a 4th cat soon. Our current one is in our laundry room but there is not room in there for a second. Need ideas on where to put the second. Can you share pictures of where yours is/are?
