On my Quaterly trip to Spain and have an upgrade offer for PE for $550 only on one leg

Does anyone think this is worth it? The seats available are in row 15 D through H.

I currently have a seat in Main plus and have never flown in PE. The seats I normally get in main plus are bulkhead 17 and 18 and I think are really good seats with the legroom I like. This upgrade is the last row in PE and I can't tell if the seat configuration really deserves an extra $550 for one leg. If you have flown PE but not in the first row, did the room of the seats live up to the price for that location ?

Totally stomped in getting the UTR connected to my UDMPro Network - it is not being discovered

I've looked at tons of documentation and I'm at a loss. I also looked at the cartoon drawing that Ubiquiti has as documentation with step 1 through whatever and asked myself, "do I need to get a 5 YO to decipher this" ? I think I do because I cannot for the life of me get this thing connected.

My phone has bluetooth on

I see the router as a wifi network - tried my UI.com password, does not work

connected the small USB included in the package - nothing

Device keeps flipping to "ready to setup" and "scan to download Unifi" which I already have the unifi app.

I've even connected it to one of my unifi switches and got nothing

Where do I go from here ? I am at a total loss and can't believe this can be so difficult - I just setup a new G5PTZ and it was a breeze so I'm totally confused

Best places to stay in Valencia, Spain to see Oceangrafic and Bioparc. I usually travel to Spain multiple times a year, family lives in Madrid and I live in the U.S. but I've only traveled through Valencia

There appear to be many hotels in the area and I'd like to get a place that's close to the two specific locations I'll be taking my family to (Oceanografic and Bioparc).

Does anyone have any recommendations for accommodations, I'll be driving there from Madrid so will need a place to park also. I'm looking for places That offer free breakfast with the stay, shuttle to significant places around the City (from $150 - $250 U.S. daily).

Thank you in advance

Knobs on stove top will not turn started with 1 two months ago and now 3

If this is not the correct place my apology. I have a GE Profile Stove top that is about 9 years old. A few months ago, I was not able to turn one of the knobs on it and now I have three that I can't turn.

Does anyone know what may cause this issue or any things to try and resolve it.

I have searched high and low all over the web and have not found anything that is close to my problem.

In addition, when I turn the lock knob to the locked position, it gives off a loud buzzing sound and never did that before. We use that knob to keep the kids from messing around.

Thanks in advance

Update and Question: I found the GE OEM Parts store and they have valves available, but I'm not exactly sure these are the ones. But they do look similar to the stem the knobs slide onto. Would anyone be able to confirm that I'm looking in the right area. https://www.geapplianceparts.com/store/parts/spec/WB19T10084

Update 2: Found the video specifically for my unit. Unfortunately the guy doesn't speak much, but I'm technical enough that I can do this work and have all the tools needed. Wow, when you look inside things like this you expect it to look like a wizard of oz type of unit, but in fact it's just a few gas lines and cables.

At 1600 timeline in the video, this guy has a bottle of something he's putting on the thread of the valve, is this similar to plumbers tape ?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=52BIHFEGRt4

I think I'll replace all of these valves since I'll be opening it up. But first, I'm going to call around to see what someone will charge me to do it and decide from that cost if I should go ahead.

UNVR not performing capture of motion since latest update 7.1.6.9

tldr: Since installing 7.1.6.9 on the UNVR there has been a significant change in the G5 and my other camera's capturing events on my street. My G5 went from being the most active camera capturing events to Capturing events with no object in the thumbnail (other than the road) to barely capturing 1 event during the entire day. I did a rollback of code to see if anything changes. Also, I made no changes prior to the code upgrade and since removed the AI capture to see if that changes. Waiting 24 hours to see if that makes a difference.

I commented to another thread/post that seem to have had the same issue, however I've since seen no input or additional concerns from others on this thread right here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubiquiti/comments/1tkms7u/comment/on9t0qw/?context=3

Also, I wanted to demonstrate what I'm seeing in my thumbnail view under "find anything" - this first image is a day prior to the upgrade to 7.1.6.9

https://preview.redd.it/tctvg2n1ts3h1.png?width=3418&format=png&auto=webp&s=5fd82b3bf99921121761635e37dcad043692cb49

In the above image you can see that my G5 captures all motion and in the thumbnail has a picture of the object captured. Also include in the doorbell, however not capturing as much.

This next picture is on the day of the upgrade (I have not changed any setting of any camera at all, merely executed the upgrade to 7.1.6.9) NOTE: The activity in the thumbnails has flipped. Where prior to the upgrade 90% of capture with picture in the thumb nails were from the G5, they are now mostly from the doorbell. Again, NO CHANGES TO SETTINGS HAS BEEN MADE.

https://preview.redd.it/s5xf5bd5us3h1.png?width=3403&format=png&auto=webp&s=02cf74c11b3509690d535ca41acfb7cce987d913

At this point I restarted the UNVR to see if it is just a blip. On May 22 is when the above post came out and I added a comment to it.

Current day 5-27-26: The image below, still no changes to settings of any camera. Notice that nearly all thumbnails are from the doorbell. Only 1 or two across the entire day are thumbnails from the G5, no picture in the G5 thumbnail. NO CHANGES TO SETTINGS

https://preview.redd.it/1fs2zar0vs3h1.png?width=3418&format=png&auto=webp&s=573ecca94e3ea4c72cc88bc7fc8752d161e256a3

I looked into settings to see if something has change and tbh I have no clue if it has, but I did notice that "Create AI events was selected" not sure if that was always there or not, but I have no record of before and after camera configuration prior to or after the upgrade.

I just finished rolling back the 7.1.6.9 version to see if that makes a difference and unselected the AI feature just to see if that makes a difference over the next 24 hours.

I think I stated before, this is a very active street, with cars by the second on some days and pedestrians all day long from kids running to the bus stop to people walking dogs, joggers and ordinary foot traffic, I stress busy.

I will update if anything changes with the rollback, but as of this writing at 10.50 p.m. on 27 May, nothing appears to have changed.

Sorry for the long post.

Plug and Play electric switches, outlets and other components - serious question

When I look at new homes being built around my area, I see the electrical wiring being pulled and terminated as it has been for the last 100 years maybe. Huge thick cable that run to a number of sockets or switches that require huge protective nuts to hold all the wiring together and because it's all encased in a plastic box and the cable are so thick, trying to change out or upgrade switches or outlets is a real PITA.

As most things in the building industry has seen some form of improvement from technology or design efficiently, I have not been able to find much if anything in the electrical side of things that's even close to simplifying the ability for upgrades or new technology.

For example, I'm about to remodel my home and met with the electrician two days ago and I asked if there were any modular designed products, where the termination of the electrical wiring is contained in a circuit, that allowed the use of snap-in type products (switches or outlets).

The wire termination would be a box that the cables all connected to, including 3-way connections and the switches or outlets had wall plug connectors that just slide into the backplane where the cables are, similar if you plugged a vacuum into a wall socket, they would lock in place at top and bottom with a screwdriver quick release.

This would simplify and be a huge market and industry revolutionary design that I believe would be a great invention.

Interested in you all comments. Hope I described this correctly.

Edit: I really appreciate every response to this and did not expect so much. Lots of variations, code references and just the overall cost to doing this.

I brought this up because the need to have smarthomes is growing like never before, where switches and sockets are controlling home equipment. Changing out a plug or socket can be challenging for a lot of home owners who are not technical and a modular, plug and play design would be a great change to enable more to do more in their homes.

Thank you all so much for all the info, great reading and fun conversation.

I've tried a number of options to setup sync in WLED - clicking the sync on the main page; Enabling ESP-NOW in wifi settings; Use ESP-NOW in Sync Setup; Assigning Sync Groups for the 3 controllers. Nothing seem to work. I follow a direction that said I needed to setup "sync" on the main screen when the device is turned off, that did nothing.

The only thing I have not done is setup UPD on my router UDMPro as it sets up UDP on the WAN incoming traffic not sure that should be done.

How do you get your devices to sync:

the 110vac coming out of the wall where my old light under the cabinet was has 3 wires (load, neutral and ground) - this meanwell transformer has only 2 wire inputs - it's a plastic body and no where to put the ground, can I cap off the ground ? Or what should I do ?

I've searched all over, nothing that definitively describes my scenario other than older homes that only had 2 wire 110vac and no ground.

Can someone point me in the right direction ?

Update: So far I've only got the cabinets on either side of the window done (much more work than I bargained for). Will work on the long cabinet on the left where you see the two door and yellow light (old fluorescent that is dulling).

Wife approval is off the charts.
