Sometimes your parents don’t like you

Because I don’t think mine ever did.

I know they loved me and they understood that they had to give me the best life they could. And they worked very hard to do that. Which I’m grateful for.

But I can’t get over the fact that they’ve never liked me as a person.

Is this a normal experience?

I love him so much

So much. But he wants kids and I’ve never ever wanted children. I’ve spoken to older women (who are mothers and honest) and they’ve advised against it if I don’t 100% want them.

And then there are the ones who say “you’ll know he’s the one when you want to have children with him.”

And yes, sure, I have that FEELING. He feels like the one. He’d make a great dad. I’d make a great mom. We make a great partnership. I want to spend the rest of my life with him.

But I so intensely still know that those are not good enough reasons.
