I've been trying to catch carp on the fly at Lake roosevelt for the last few years while camping. going camping in a few weeks, still waiting to officially hook a carp on the fly. any pointers on what flies to use? the water level fluctuates at roosevelt. late may early June its relatively low. I tend to avoid cruising carp, they have no interest in the flies I toss. I try to look for carp, that have their tails near the surface, that look like they're feeding.
is one better than the other ( I'm going to wait for a tool deal to come up before buying)
