Hi guys, this is something I’ve wanted to build for a long time and have been quietly working on in the background alongside real life.

Playing Bolo in school computer labs was my very first multiplayer gaming experience, and it’s something that stuck with me ever since. Now that I’m a father, I wanted to recreate the experience with my kids. But with the original Mac game basically gone, and Winbolo not working on Mac, I had two choices: rebuild it for Mac, or rebuild it in a way that everyone could easily play.

I chose the latter and decided to create a fully in-browser version.

That also meant removing the old LAN limitations and making multiplayer simple and accessible through an online game lobby.

I’ve just added bots, with new maps coming soon. I’ve also updated the UX so you can switch between a mode that’s about 95% faithful to the original experience, or a more modern interface with a larger play area.

Nord's Dark Web monitor has told me my email and password has been leaked to the dark web on May 5th from an unknown source. The thing is, the particular password, was one I used ONLY on Reddit.

Was there a recent leak?

Like a lot of people, Bolo was the first multiplayer experience I had. Ive been wanting an easy to play version for years, but sadly the og project and Winbolo seems to have been all but abandoned.

So I built webolo, or web bolo. Totally free. Totally in browser and persistent.

I'd say gameplay is 90% of the way there and Ill continue expanding on it, and I'll add more OG maps (drop me any requests below).
