Anybody down for a Night Owl ride???

I'm pretty new to the bay via Los Angeles. Down in LA I road with a group called the NightOwls for the past 4 + years. We started rides around 11pm and did lots of climbing. I wanted to see if anyone would be down to do something similar out here since Ive notices there's a lot of rides but not many at night. Anybody interested let me know. I have a few routes already mapped that could be lots of fun. We would mostly hit some of the hills both in the east bay and in SF. Maybe a twice per month ride. All bikes would be welcome. Couple store stops, drink a beer and chill at a good stopping point then have fun going down to the end point. I'm thinking one ride starting in the East Bay/West Oakland. One ride starting in SF at the island. Let me know if anyone is interested via DM or comments and I'll start getting it ready. I'll probably do the ride myself even if no one else shows up but let's build some more community with the late night brothers and sisters.

Soooo is Strava messed up or???

I've noticed I'll check where I'm at on Strava both miles and elevation and the amount always ends up different. Especially the elevation. Mostly in San Francisco is where it does it.

I absolutely hate the delivery scooters and mopeds.

I moved here in March from LA. Within 2 weeks I got into an accident with one of these dudes while I was biking up Market. He stopped dead in front of me to park in the bike lane and I was too close to him to brake or move out the way in time. Otherwise I have noticed just how rude they are on the bike lanes. Constantly in the way. Parking in the lanes. Zooming super close to you. I just want to bitch for a second but seriously fuck these guys.

The work horse getting rusty in the Bay

My Pake Rum Runner has been my go to since I cracked my Mash. Noticed it's getting a little rusty with the moisture out here. Also my camera busted so I have it on the .5 setting 😭

I'm on bike and had to deliver a 35 pack of 16oz waters 🥲

There was also 2 large juices and lots of groceries in my bag, lucky it's a huge bag but this was a rough one on those SF hills

Commuter Comp R light stopped working AGAIN

Hey y'all I had a Bontrager 750 for a long while then it stopped working properly and the trek in Beverly hills gave me this one. I had it for a week and it died. They gave me another. Has that one maybe 2 weeks then died. Then got a 3rd one, had it for almost a month then it died but a guy at Trek showed me a trick to rest it and it had been working for the past 3 months. On a big late night ride it died again but this time is different. Doesn't seem to be taking a charge. When I plug it into the charger it is now showing half the light on the power button. I have seen 4 colors so far, red, yellow/orange, blue, and green. If it's plugged in and the power light is glowing, I touch it, it cuts off. It does not power on at all currently. Does anyone have any tips? Also the trek I went to basically said they couldn't find my original receipt for the bontrager light so they aren't going to give me a new light but they'll give me 20% off a new light 🥲

Did Oakland to Embarcadero last night for my 38th Bday. Lots of fun.

It was my birthday on Thursday so decided to do a 38 mile ride, 1 mile for each year. Ended up a little more. Also why TF was a section completely flooded 😭😭😭 I was not expecting to bring my water shoes. Also want to note I ride fixed and this was fixie friendly!
