Piecing together the history of Cedar Springs clubs
I'm relatively new to Burlington (moved from Toronto several months ago) and I occasionally see mention of Cedar Springs blank Club(s), on reddit and elsewhere. I've heard of a ski club, a racquet club, sports club, and even "community club". I'm wondering if there are any Burlington loremasters who would be able to shed some light on the history of these clubs, where they went (or, for those still active, what they're called now), and whether they're all related.
Weighing different club membership options in Burlington/Hamilton
I'm going to buy a membership for the remainder of the season and I'm weighing my options. Disclaimer that I don't have the budget for a private club and am only considering the following options:
- Kaneff Klub @ Carlisle
- Tyandaga
- Pineland Greens
- Hidden Lake (clublink, but not "real" clublink, membership applies only to Hidden Lake)
I won't go into detail about the specifics of each membership's benefits, because they're all roughly similar in value and I'm new to the area so I'm mostly interested in peoples' experiences at these clubs, how the courses play, the club culture, etc.
I intend to play all 4 before making a decision, of course.
