visited old town Sacramento and felt inclined to share!

I've been on a kick of watching old episodes so I was really stoked to be able to see this place (from the outside 😭)

I honestly didn't really plan ahead so I didn't get an underground tour, but regardless it was an enjoyable day!

Feel free to use this thread to attach photos of locations you have visited yourself 😌 I always love seeing them

Orbiter Theory

I know a lot of people refer to Orbiter being about Noah's mom, but I have always felt like it was about us/his fans. Seeing him cry while performing it the other night also made me feel like it is toward us.

"Some will never know they're beautiful until the crowd points it out for them, but I see you through a camera flash. I look back and you laugh and this is hard, but I feel less far." ••• I take this as Noah struggling with his self worth and confidence and although he still deals with imposter syndrome, we continue to express that he is so beautiful and meaningful to us. He views us from behind our cameras as well as the hollywood cameras, but despite how tough it can be, we help him feel supported and understood.

"I stare at you, I sing to you, I circle you." ••• Noah sings to us, stares out at us, and adapts his life so he is able to see and perform for us.

"Even anxious pups need the Moon." ••• despite the stress and anxiety that fame brings, he still feels like he needs us for his wellbeing.

"I'm gonna lose you either way." ••• essentially, nothing lasts forever. fame doesn't last forever, fans may fade away or stop listening entirely, fans and Noah will eventually die, etc.

any thoughts?! 🤍

Feeling guilty and scared - how to deal with accidental hamster skirmish?

Just to preface, all of this was viewed via night camera. If I saw any of it in real time, it simply would not have happened. Also, both hamsters are alive and separated. Hamster tax from after I put my Syrian back in his enclosure.

Last night I made the mistake of accidentally leaving my Syrian hamster’s enclosure open. He is used to free roaming with me, so I was not surprised to see him leave his enclosure. I spent an hour looking for him this morning and right before giving up (assuming he was asleep somewhere), I saw a little beige fluff of hair in the bottom corner of my OTHER! hamsters enclosure. My Syrian has long beige hair, so I knew in my gut what I was looking at but didn’t fully believe it until I dug him out to thankfully find him unharmed, just grumpy. After inspecting him further to make sure he was uninjured, I placed him back in his enclosure.

My Robo hamster, who is in this other enclosure, has about a ¼ - ½ inch gap at the very top because warped acrylic. My Syrian decided it would be a fun idea to climb up the curtain, go on top of my Robo’s enclosure, and squeeze his way into that gap. My heart dropped when I saw this. It also shocked me for numerous reasons, but mainly because the entire bedroom is set up as a “play pen” with multiple wheels, sand baths, tunnels, etc. so it was not like he was stuck in some super boring empty room. I digress.

They somehow managed to avoid each other for most of the night, keeping themselves on opposite sides of the enclosure, but I did see two skirmishes break out. They were not long, maybe a split second, and I didn’t see any hair fly out or anything. I knew my Syrian was unharmed since I had previously done a health check before moving him back into his own enclosure but hadn’t checked my Robo yet. After upsetting and scaring him by digging him out, I realized he has a cut on his eyelid or eyebrow which is also causing him to squint. I snapped a photo and put him back in his hide so I could call the vet.

I thankfully have an appointment in 2 hours, but I am really anxious and worried. My Robo is apparently 1+ (unknown, his previous owners had him for over a year,) so I am scared they will recommend putting him down or that his eye will eventually lead to him passing.

I feel like suchhhhhh an idiot. I know freak accidents happen and that I am not a neglectful owner at heart, but I just feel so much guilt and blame. I haven’t even owned my Robo for a month yet and I also don’t know why my Syrian even decided to be a freak like that. I am just so sad and scared. I just can’t believe something like this happened. I always expected the possibility of my hamsters getting out of their enclosures because it happens to even the best of us, but I didn’t foresee my hamsters getting out and going into another enclosure.

Where I need help: I am obviously seeing a vet for all things medical, but what can I do enclosure wise? I put tape over the warped acrylic, so it is more flush with the wood but I am already thinking of just getting a new bucatstate 3.0. What about scent though? I dumped the sand baths and refilled them with new sand, but what should I do about the bedding my Syrian burrowed into? And the wheel he ran on? I think my main question is just how do I deal with removing my Syrian’s scent from my Robo’s enclosure without exacerbating my Robo’s stress?

TLDR; I have a “hamster room” with multiple enclosures. My Syrian got out of his enclosure and made his way into my Robo enclosure, leading to an eye injury on my Robo. I am already going to the vet, but I am anxious about my Robo’s age factoring into his care and the potential of death. I also feel like such a neglectful idiot. How can I remove my Syrian’s scent from my Robo’s cage without messing even more things up? please don't be super mean I know I fcked up 🥺

help with identification?

I have had mixed comments on the breed of my dwarf. I have been told winter white and campbell but I honestly think he might be a robo?? maybe more campbell than winter white??

he is much faster than my female winter white and has a distinctly different body shape and face shape than her as well. he is tinyyy too, more orb shaped than long if that makes sense??

I haven't picked him up all that much since he's only been with me for two weeks so I don't have any other photos. I attached a photo of my female ww for comparison.

I have 3 different sand baths in his enclosure already, but will he need more if he is, in fact, a robo??

thanks in advance 😊

the elusive elderly man appears

I haven't seen him in person in weeks!!!!! (aside from cleaning / a quick health check. I have a camera so I can still monitor any behavior changes)

I have had Sesame since January after rescuing him from a poor environment with children. I also believe he was a pet store hamster.

I have tried almost every type of taming trick and tip with little to no success but honestly, it's okay. At the end of the day, I rescued him to improve his quality of life and not mine, so as long as he is happy doing his hamster stuff, then I am happy.

anyway, I guess I am just saying that this is a good reminder that people shouldn't rescue or adopt with the sole intention of handling and cuddling them. they really are solitary prey animals with all different types of personalities, so putting pressure on them to conform can be cruel at times.

this isn't to diminish anyone's hope though! I have a syrian that will tolerate pets and stuff as well as a winter white.

I love Sesame. I will be really sad once he passes but I am hoping he at least makes it to next January! 🤎

swipe to see the upgrade 🤍

moose update: I rescued him last monday but it was finals week so I didn't have as much time as I would have liked to set up the enclosure. I suppose it worked out since it gave him some time to settle in!

he is already burrowing like crazy, loves his tunnels, and is learning how to roll around in his sand baths.

it is so rewarding and heartwarming to improve the life of such a tiny creature and to also watch them enjoy the improvements 🥹

hamster tax on photo 3 😊

first sandbath experience.. ever! ♡

a little update on my new rescue, moose 🤍

I think he is a ww/campbell mix and has never experienced a sand bath before, so seeing this warmed my heart!

I am still giving him time to settle in and get used to his new enclosure, so I will share more on him as he gets more comfortable.

need name recommendations for this old fella!

rescue taking place tomorrow! he is over a year old so I am thinking a cute, elderly name? not a necessity if you have other names in mind 🤍

I usually have names come to me naturally (and I do have a few in mind) but figured I would ask the group 😇

*** I will share photos of his updated enclosure later this week, this photo is his current set up with his current owner

It appears The Murder Sheet will be covering the D4vd case.

The Murder Sheet is a great podcast that breaks down court proceedings and makes the legal jargon understandable. Recently they covered the Bryan Kohberger case and all the court proceedings regarding that. If you are unfamiliar with how court cases work or how murder cases move forward in the legal system, this would be a great podcast to listen to as they periodically update. If I remember correctly, they will release an episode every time there is a new court date or hearing, so right now it looks like they have the preliminary hearing episode out. I just wanted to share this with you all.

I noticed the riverdale animal shelter had a huge influx of hamsters, more than 30 from what I have counted.

today I went to donate some bedding, cardboard hides, and food and to check out the situation going on. according to the paperwork on all the hamster's identification, they were on court hold, which means that they were technically evidence in a court case, usually in regard to animal cruelty, neglect, and hoarding. I'm assuming it is more of a hoarding case because all of them appear healthy. I interacted with some of the male babies pictured, they are about 5weeks old. I have also attached some other photos of available hamsters.

please, if you are looking to ethically rescue a hamster, I really think this shelter needs some help right now. I confirmed that they are no longer on court hold, and now available for adoption.

they also have a variety of other animals for adoption as well.

if interested, you can check out their website here

if you have any questions, feel free to message me.

if you would like to donate some items but cannot drive to the shelter, let me know and I can arrange some sort of pickup.

thank you!!

has anyone noticed this previously? he had a cut in the shape of a cross on his palm from april 2025 to june 2025.

I am theorizing he may have injured himself when murdering celeste, and then self harmed to make it into an "edgy" cross. any input??

first photo - no injury to palm: april 10th 2025

second photo - first view of injury to palm: april 24th 2025

third photo - april 25th 2025

fourth photo - injury appears to be healing: april 30th 2025

fifth photo - injury almost healed: may 19th 2025

sixth photo - injury healed and no longer visible: june 26th 2025, hyunjin collab
