Cannabis - but not head shops

Looking for a cannabis scent that is *actually* cannabis, and not what people who smoke cannabis smell like 😅

I want green, spicy, citrusy, and a hint of skunk - no patchouli, please. Neon Noir by Stone & Wit is already a favorite!

Perfumes that feel like...

[English > Japanese kanji] Quote from "Ghost of Tsushima"

I'm not sure where else to find this information honestly, so I wanted to check the Reddit hive mind. There's a quote from Ghost of Tsushima that goes:

"You have no honor."

"And you are a slave to it."

That I'd like translated into kanji. I'm sure this is available as part of the official script, but I'm not sure how to get there. Any assistance would be great, thank you!

Recs for houses like Stone & Wit?

I'm not sure how I got so lucky, but my very first foray into indie perfumes was samples from S&W and they're all fantastic. That said, I'd like to look into other houses that are as thoughtful and intentional in their scent creations as them. I love how each perfume has a story behind it, and how each perfume's notes are clear and harmonic and you can totally feel that story in each scent. They're all interesting too, nothing feels like a scent you'd find a lot of other people wearing or even thinking about. Anyway, I'd love other recommendations. Thank you!

Is it normal to dislike every single sample in a set?

So I'm throwing myself headfirst into indie fragrances and I bought 3 sample packs from Alkemia, since everyone on this sub really seemed to like them. Imagine my shock when every single one I tried has this baby powder-esque undertone to it. Literally all of them. Au Lait? Butter and baby powder. Elixir of Aphrodite? Fruit and baby powder. This was still true even after letting them sit for 2 days as recommended. I feel really let down tbh. Is this something anyone else has experienced, where a house's lineup didn't seem to work for them?

Looking for a dupe of Whisper Sisters "Mermaid"

Title. Per the Wayback machine, the notes were "sea salt, ocean air, water lily, Egyptian musk." I'd love any suggestions on dupes or any of your faves that make you feel like a sparkly mermaid flashing her tail on the beach!

Any indie brands people recommend?

I've been trying about every single brand you can find in Ulta and drugstores, but I'd like to branch out! The issue I'm finding is that a lot of handmade skin and haircare uses heavy butters and oils, which won't work for me. I'd love to hear people's recommendations, especially for more eco-friendly companies or makers. Thanks!

Loving my hair - except for the frizz

I think I've nailed my routine down mostly, except for the frizz. Any suggestions on how to combat that, while still maintaining the curl definition and volume?

Routine today (it's clarifying day):

- Kinky Curly Come Clean clarifying shampoo

- Verb ghost line shampoo for 2nd shampoo

- Verb ghost line conditioning mask on the ends, rinsing out after a few mins

- after drying with microfiber towels so my hair is damp, Verb ghost line air whip air dry cream (a half pea size I'd say)

- completely air dried without touching it (took about 90 mins)

Things I've tried that didn't help the frizz:

- Verb ghost line weightless oil: this actually works quite well, but even this is too heavy, and I'm only using 1 pump max

- Verb hydrating line leave in conditioner

- Briogeo leave in conditioner

- Innersense air dry cream

Thank you!

36f here. I'm pretty new to skincare, currently using basic The Ordinary products from Ulta. My skin is actually doing well right now, but I'm hoping for feedback on how to *keep* it that way. If y'all say "just keep doing what you're doing" then 👍😄

Current routine:

The Ordinary Squalane cleanser/makeup remover in the shower

The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors moisturizer in the morning

Good Molecules yerba mate eye wakeup cream when I wake up

I have pretty normal skin with a mildly oily T-zone, and I typically only get hormonal breakouts. There's a few new fine lines but nothing I'm all that concerned about. I'm open to any brand/price point for recommendations. I'm NOT looking to create a 12-step regimen to be followed morning and night though lol

It works amazingly, probably the best product line for my hair (fine obviously, very low porosity/virgin hair, medium density), but it just stinks.
