Games in small towns with sense of belonging / community

I played Lake a few months ago and can't stop thinking about it. It was so peaceful driving around a gorgeous scenic town, somewhere I'd want to escape to irl, and start over somewhere new with a friendly community and chosen family.

I loved Tiny Bookshop for this reason, the feeling of starting over in a small seaside town and becoming one of the locals, getting to know everyone and helping them.

I loved Stardew but I didn't get this same feeling, I think I need a game that has a realistic looking town/environment?

I liked Firewatch, Life is Strange, Road 96, Lost Records, Pokemon, Ooblets, but can't find any new games that come close to the feelings I had playing Lake or Tiny Bookshop. Maybe I just want a game where I can fit in and be part of a community.

I've tried Bus Simulator thinking that would scratch the scenic itch but all the bus controls distracted me and I got bored.

Would love and appreciate any recommendations, thanks!

Heatwaves keep putting me off

I've been on the fence for almost 10 years now. I 32F feel like I need to make a decision soon in case we have trouble conceiving. There's been a few times where I have told myself that I should be child free and accept it, but it's always followed with an overwhelming sadness and I keep going back on my decision.

I've reached the stage where I feel the most ready I've ever been to start trying. I don't want to be pregnant, the whole thing terrifies me and I don't know if this is exactly what I want as who knows what being a parent is like until you experience it? But I also know it's a serious responsibility and if I were a mother I would do everything I can to love and support the child and give them a good life. I do think that is what I want, and I've slowly been wanting that more and more.

But the increasing temperatures and heatwaves have been majorly putting me off. I really struggle in the heat and have barely done anything in the last three days. We live in the UK so our homes retain heat and it's been so humid all week the heat has just stuck to me. We have an aircon unit in one room but it barely made a difference, the room was still sticky and warm and we struggled sleeping the last week. My dogs have been struggling too, panting even indoors so they've had to stay near in the aircon, no playtime or anything, just chilling all week which I feel guilty about not giving them enougn stimulation apart from some likkimats and food puzzles.

But with a baby... We would need to invest in an aircon room as the summers would be a huge struggle, especially the first year when they need help regulating their temperature. But even with that, Im worried I won't be able to cope. And things like summer holidays, fun weekend trips out etc, all the memories I had as a child I wouldn't be able to give to my child as it's too dangerous now. There's been quite a few heatwaves over the last few years and it's only going to get worse in years to come. Is it really worth having a child if they're going to stay inside all summer, is it a good life for them of every year the world gets hotter and hotter and more of a struggle? Heatwaves only used to be 2-3 days but now they're lasting almost 7, and it's taking that time to cool the house back down before the next one starts.

I'm just scared I won't be a good mum struggling in this heat, and I'm worried the world is only going to get worse for them growing up. I know we as a species adapt, but the UK heat and our heat retaining new builds are killing me. Does anyone else feel this way? It's the one factor thats still putting me off.

From one end of the BMI scale to the other (48kg to 60kg)

5'2. I have grown up looking skinny/slim and have constantly been borderline underweight on the BMI scale, at around 48kg (I think). People have always said I had a lovely figure and they were jealous and I never thought anything bad about my body, but during Covid I needed a hobby, and decided to lift weights. I found it hard just using a pair of 2kgs at the time, and I remember when I ordered a pair of 6kgs I couldn't even pick up the box and needed to carry them separately. Now I'm hip thrusting 100kg and benching 40kg.

Last year after a few years of DB workouts I still felt weak, so I decided to up the weights with the barbell, and this is the majority of the progress I have made within the last year. Looking back at old pictures I look so skinny, it's crazy how your perception changes. When I took that bikini photo I had been doing DB workouts for a year or two and thought I looked massive! I still have a lot to work on. My upper body and abs are lagging behind and I can still only do one pullup, but overall I'm so much happier in how I look and how I feel.

I don't like to post pics of myself but I workout in my garage and it can be lonely sometimes spending 4 days a week working out and not being able to talk about it or show my gains. I'm really proud of myself, especially my glutes, but my friends don't go to the gym and maybe don't see a difference the same way gym goers would. So just wanted to join this community and say hi!

Average quiet guy with intensity for one girl

Ive been wondering what it is about Little Stranger that I liked and apart from the taboo aspect which I love, I also love that he's a quiet guy who isn't hugely popular and just an average guy, but deep down has raging intensity and obsession for one girl.

Loved Torment too for this reason. Like sort of sweet on the outside but twisted on the inside, or at least they can explain their reasons e.g. protection.

So looking for something dark, dubcon or noncon welcome, and taboo relationship is a plus. Something where the guy just blends in and can be quite awkward. Cry Little Sister is next on my list.

Its not the kinkiest but it's what I'm craving right now so thanks! I've read too many cocky popular loud mouth guys and I'm not feeling those...
