Is there any foundation to the SMT / ICT Claims?

I feel like in the past several years, SMT has really taken to the mainstream.

But is there actually any quantitative stats behind the claims such as FVG, Order Blocks, and the likes? That, as well as the concept of buy/sell side liquidity that everyone plots out.

Just a general question.

Case was Escalated to Supervisor

The context is very complicated to explain; but I essentially went in for an EB3 Skilled Worker interview. There was a missing gap in between 2006 and 2007; to which, I was not able to produce the documents right there on the spot. ( I was eight years old at the time ). So, the interviewer said that she needed to escalate it to legal council / a supervisor and my interview was cut short.

My status online now reads "still in progress".

My anxieties are speaking for me - but is there anyone that had a similar situation where the case was passed over to a supervisor, and ultimately it got accepted / denied?

Although the interviewer said that my mother at the time had a "gap" in their system, I later found out that this was most likely due to her being in a "pending R-1" state. This is how she was even able to receive a COS to become an F1 International Student in 2007.

The FOIA docs that we've requested are about to be sent to us, so we will know soon enough.

My worry is, however, that they will simply "go with the narrative/report" of the interviewer and assume that what the officer corrected, is true (without taking a closer look).

No Updates to the Range?

Over the years, I feel like the Range is the one thing that never really got any quality of life updates. the only change that I could remember, is the fact that they removed the single good practice tool (the angle clearing drill w/ bots).

We used to have the Deadlock Ult trick that we could use, too, where we could ult just one of the bots and then turn "off" practice mode, leaving just 1 bot to use.

Nowadays, I feel like the range gets absolutely zero updates or changes.

Literally - just the simple ability to reduce the number of bots in the Range would be huge.

Feel Like Throwing Up.

My appt for EB3, Skilled Worker, was scheduled for August 10th (yesterday) at 9am.

I prepared heavily for it, got to the center early, and met with my lawyer to head inside. We only waited for about an hour before my name was called, and we went in together. The interviewer was so kind and the vibes were excellent.

We went through the standard questions (have you ever done x,y,z), which were very easy to answer truthfully - but then we got around to have you ever been out of status , which was a confident "no" from me. After all - I had full understanding and the timeline of my entry (from 2003) to present - never breaking status.

I was informed, for the first time, however - that during August 2006 to August 2007, my mother had no status. I was 8 years old at the time. Both myself and my lawyer were completely at a loss of words. This was never mentioned to me. This was never shared, nor were there any documents from this time.

Apparently - after my arrival in 2003 as a B2 visitor's visa, my mother had been on an R1 visa from September 2003 until August 2006. Then, as she was waiting to transfer churches + apply for a perm. residency, the waiting started getting long - and so she applied for an F1 student visa. This was approved in 2007.

And she maintainted her F1 (and myself, being the F2 dependent) until I got my own F1 student status in 2016.

She has zero documents from that time. No letter, no notice, no slip, not even a post-it note from that time.

But this single gap in the timeline prevented the interview from proceeding. The interviewer tried to do all that she could - and ultimately, she had to end the interview at that point, stating that this needed to be verified by the legal council. She added to the notes, that I was a minor at the time.

My status currently reads "Your case is being processed" on my USCIS tracker.

I don't know what the outcome will be, or when I will hear word about it. There's talks that I will have to fly back to Korea, apply for the greencard there, then fly back. There's a slim chance that due to the fact that I was never in control in 2006, that this may be deemed as an exception to the bar.

I have severe GAD and an insane fear of flying. This is just about the worst, possible scenario.

I feel like the world is caving in on me. Not sure what to do.

Anxiety Through the Roof

I'm going in as EB3 Skilled. My interview is scheduled for the coming Tuesday (8/11). My anxiety is through the roof. For one - I recently got injured (sciatica) about a month ago; to which, I cannot stand for very long. Very worried about the intake process (screening prior to the waiting area) taking a long time, as well as fear that the waiting time, period, will be hours long.

It's at 9am, so I'm hoping to arrive (to the parking area, at least) an hour in advance. I know it says 30 minutes in advance is advised, but hoping to just calm down a bit in the car and then head inside.

Any encouraging / tips would be REALLY helpful.

Thank you guys

Decentralized Exchange. How Do They Trade

Genuinely not trolling - but I'm having a hard time trying to wrap my head around how institutional trading might work (or look like) on a grander scale. Since there's no centralized exchange, where all order volume needs to flow through, how in the world do FX traders actually know who's trading what (as you would w/ Futures, for example)?

Questions about Institutional Trading

Has anyone worked in an institutional firm, that can confirm the whole ~the institutions are out to stop me out of my position~ theory? Is that a real concept that’s been proven to be a legitimate concept, or did retail traders kind of inflate it to be bigger than normal?

Sorry if my wording is weird.

What's up with the Lurking Reyna Thing?

I thought that this was just a running joke / gag, but I am seeing more and more in my own ranked games, too. I'm in Gold/Plat lobbies, and if there's 1 remaining agent left to pick (and we have all of the bases covered), it's guaranteed to be a Reyna. I just don't know what the appeal is, and what's up with the whole lurking thing lol.

Did Everyone Peak Episode 5-9

I'm in Gold-Plat elo. Idk if it's just me but I feel like there's been a resurgence of peak Asc-Immo2, all from episodes 5-9. Am I the only one seeing this? lol

At what point are you strafing at "max velocity"?

This is making my brain explode lol.

If we spoke in terms of "footstep sound", are you strafing at maximum speed upon the 1st "footstep", or would it be right around the 2nd footstep sound?

Or - would it be at the absolute limit of the silent step (when you strafe but don't reach the step that you make a footstep sound)?

Unique Tips??

Has anyone ever received a niche and/or unique tip that you would like to share?

For instance - I was watching my Immo friend play via his stream,
and he explained that in a 1v1 (when the enemy has to plant SOON), that he can run knife-out, so long as his sound radius is not overlapping the plant site.

The logic being, that if the enemy is planting, he must be standing “somewhere” on the site itself. If his sound circle is not touching the site; the enemy cannot hear him coming.

Question for the Statistic Goobers (like me)

If you could go beyond Tracker / other generic sites, and use a Valorant API to analyze your match / performance in finer detail - what sorts of stats would you be interested in?

Sorry if this question is worded strangely.

I'm building a Valorant Match / Individual Performance analyzer, and I've been focusing on stats related to literal positioning (x,y), average spread during postplant, avg. players alive during post, trading % comparisons..

The API offers WAAAY more data than what I expected, so I'm trying to brainstorm ways to pull out some creative metrics that might provide better insight for players / teams.
