Flip Sole by Dane Grospe is getting a branch here in Bacolod.

Well, this is actually a good new shoe store option for us here in Bacolod. My only question is whether people will continue supporting it long-term.

Bacolod shoppers are still very price-conscious compared to bigger cities. If they can keep prices reasonable and close to retail, then kudos because I think there’s definitely a market for it here. But if they go the usual reseller route and consistently price shoes above SRP, I honestly don’t know if the hype will last.

FLIP already has a reputation for pricing pairs above retail, which is understandable since a lot of sneaker stores operate that way. The problem is people here usually prioritize affordability and “sulit” purchases first before hype or exclusivity.

Still hoping it works out though because it’s always nice seeing more sneaker/streetwear options in Bacolod instead of having to buy everything online or through pasabuy.

Another Pinoy making some noise in the Tekken scene this time in NA.

Known as the best Lili player in the country, Zechariah continues to prove why he’s one of the top Tekken talents around. He recently placed 13th at Evo Japan 2026, competing against some of the best players in the world.

Zech also won the most recent TNS NA weekly tournament an online event featuring many of North America’s top Tekken players with a stacked field of 273 entrants. If I’m not mistaken, this was also his first time entering the tournament, making the victory even more impressive.

The NBI arrested Franco Mabanta, founder of Peanut Gallery Media Network, in an entrapment operation over an alleged ₱350M extortion attempt involving former House Speaker Martin Romualdez. Malacañang Press Officer Claire Castro dismissed claims linking President Marcos Jr. to the case and instead pointed to reported ties with figures from the Duterte camp.

Incidents like this keep reinforcing how Philippine politics often feels like a chess game! shifting alliances, strategic accusations, and rival camps moving pieces across the same board. The country ends up as the chessboard itself, and the people are often the collateral damage caught in the middle of it all. And honestly, it’s sickening how normalized that cycle has become.

This tournament was insane. One of the best. I hope the patches of balancing keep coming Tekken is too good to die.

And that ain't a good thing. Paying the same amount of money to play mostly upstarts in the industry isn't worth it.

With all the releases they literally gutted the roster. Wyatt Sicks, Aleister Black, Kairi Sane not coming back for next year when they are literally my most played superstars in the game.

I'm keeping 2k26 for a while just because of the roster. So far if they don't add Paige as DLC this year. I'm not gonna be worried if they put her in 27.

Thoughts?
