My last bottle of 2012 Chateau Lorane Marechal Foch

It was a good 14 year run, but alas, all good things must come to an end. Farewell, old friend.

Before and after 30mm lift

A subtle lift along with slightly oversized 215 55 17 tires.

Ooooold skool cool, 1890s

My great grandfather, Norman Rude, back in the day when maybe you had your portrait taken once or twice in your life. Sorta hipster, no?

I colorized it to make him seem more real.

Remembering the Goddard Trail.

This was taken in 2022, before the devastating fire that destroyed this old growth loop, and thousands of surrounding acres.

I've not been able to revisit this spot, where a giant fir and a giant cedar shared space for centuries. My friend stood between the two, as it was the only way to get perspective on their size.

We thought the original slab was black walnut, but when we got it sliced, it was discovered it was Oregon myrtlewood. We still have another full slab for a full sized dining table, which will not be a river table.
