MLB schedule makers gave the Buffalo Bisons a reduction in opponents for 2027 (a breakdown)

As some of you know, this is the time of the year where next season's schedules are unveiled. Had to double check to be sure, but the Bisons are only facing 2 IL West teams next season, while increasing divisional play (IL East) and are only playing 9 teams total. In 2026, they faced four IL West teams, and faced 11 opponents total.

I'm sure the biggest reason behind this is "travel costs".

These schedule makers get progressively worse with each season in a league of 20 teams. They haven't even faced certain other opponents yet (like Jacksonville). I look forward to another year's schedule but wow it seems to get worse with variety each season, making it very predictable.

I know some people don't mind the same teams each year (understandable playing the closest teams a lot) and I'll probably get blasted, but I just had to chirp about this.

Charles McAdoo has been named IL Player of the Week, making him the third Bisons hitter this season to be named by MiLB for weekly honors after RJ Schreck and Jay Harry. McAdoo homered vs the Norfolk Tides in 4 straight games this past week!

TIL that there is a rare misprinted official MiLB game ball made by Rawlings with a reversed 2021-era logo. It's unknown if these baseballs saw action in games or if they were strictly used in batting practice. Quite an oddity thanks to a factory error.

Buffalo Bisons not wearing 4th of July caps on the road tonight

Not sure why but the 4th of July hats are on sale so I find it odd.

Did the International League scorebugs (20/30), so why not complete the Triple-A level of scorebugs
