work in progress—shadow box living room for my boyfriend’s anniversary gift

i don’t have a lot of knowledge about types of paper/cardstock so please bear with me 😅 i want to use my ohuhu markers to design greeting cards, and the blank cards i have are too thin. what should i be looking for to find blank greeting cards that my markers won’t bleed through? OR should i get cardstock and fold it myself?
i had two preliminary interviews today with marketing firms that claim they quickly train up their new hires into management and leadership positions. it feels too good to be true that i could become an office manager in less than a year with no background in marketing. and if everyone gets promoted to leadership, who’s doing the lower tier work? any insight?
