Just finished binge watching it.

So I just finished it, it was great while watching it, and now that its over I feel empty inside.
Like the ending went... too smoothly. Something felt wrong. I certainly like how it was sweet, how everything worked out, but it doesnt feel like something that would happen in one episode.

The stuff with Rose, I mean of course I like how they get together, and the series did hint that they will have a child together, so that is cool, but I feel like the whole "delete the dragonhunters" stuff to have been a mistake, Is it genetic is it loyalty? The show cant make up its head, even if it was some kind of genetic birthmark bs, it couldve been avoided.
The ending was just too perfect, like she sees a picture, and suddenly remembers everything? Okay sure, where did she get the Uniform from??? I doubt she wouldve tracked down an old base, they already were short on time.

I think after Rose found out about Jake there shouldve been more dialog between them, Rose being more conflicted, assuming Jake is manipulating her for example, instead of "wow, I was wrong" and accepting the hard truth, she is basically in a cult, brainwashed since her birth, its hard to let that go. I think everyone would love a good dialog between them, where she would still be "loyal" to the Hunters but going off trail, still seeing him as his enemy but not revealing anything to the main clan. Before she goes into full-ally-spy mode.

And many times in the series I'm just thinking to myself "How did nobody see that?"
there is widescale destruction with magical creatures, yet nobody sees anything, this is unexplained?
No hiding or anything. You are forced to make your own headcanon for much of the series since it remains unexplained. they couldve had a mass spell to make everyone forget what they saw, then again this is unexplained.

The worldbuilding alone annoyes me, so he's the American Dragon, but seemingly only responcible for New York, are we lead to believe magical creatures dont exist outside of new york? What about the indiginous mythical creatures? they clearly do exist, so there mustve been dragons there already??? This is unexplained?
Maybe the Old World Mythical creatures came along to the "new world" recently in line with the colonisation of the lands that were to become the United States, so the dragons that were sent were from other Lands to protect them. So Jake Long could be the first American-born Dragon, since he was born on that soil and only responcible for New York City, replacing his Grandfather. Thats my own headcanon, since I heard no explaination from the show. So I am assuming the world is divided into administrative zones with a dragon each responcible for keeping the peace. [?]
I probably missed something?

So my main issue is the worldbuilding, the lore couldve been expanded on, there clearly is a great story they wanted to tell, get more into the history of the setting, why the magical creatures went into hiding, Clearly they did rule the whole world multiple times.

I think Hans Rotwood would love to learn more about this world, as much as we do, his story did end on an interesting note, I do like how they softened the relationship between them. Nice birthday party. How after locking up students did not put him permanently in jail, or at least removed to be anywhere near schools is weird, but sure I can suspend by disbelief there.

The Art Style change was... Okay. The Art Style for the backgrounds was Okay, I dont prefer one or the other, they were decent. for Jake I think the season 1 design looked better, more rounded off corners, the Hair.... The Dragon form, puuh, I think season 1 form had its charm, I liked that more.
I mean it does make sense for him to be a hybrid between the Western and the Eastern Dragon design. I think season 1 fits better since he is more Western than Eastern if we count culture. I am guessing the western conception of a dragon modified his shapeshifting ability to that while growing up. Headcanon of course. I think season 2 is a massive upgrade interms of writing, they dialed down the cringe.

So the huntsclan knew already who Grandpa was, but somehow didnt track him down?
Somehow they monitor every Phone call (time travel episode) for the word "Dragon", yet do not Monitor the Media of the Mythical World? When they had Jake on a magazine they revealed his human identity on the second page. There are 100% Collaborators with the Huntsclan, we know this, we've seen this multiple times, but not a single one could supply this info? Are they stupid???
He reveals his secret human identity EVERY DAMN TIME, on a mission. His apearance wouldve spread around on its own, you tell me the huntsclan couldnt kidnap some mythical creatures and torture them until most of the detail each creature gave lead them to create some sort of character profile.
They also saw Spud and Trixie MULTIPLE TIMES, yet never thought to investigate them further.

Just my thoughts. Feel free to respond, I am looking for people to discuss this.

3 Phase 3kW Wattmeter Repair (Siemens AS 382 A 47 X 7-006)

HELP NEEDED!

Hello, I have acquired a 3 Phase Siemens Wattmeter ( AS 382 A 47 X 7-006 ) (15th January 1957)
Sadly it is defective.

All Voltage and Current Coils measure OK, nothing seems to have been burned or overloaded.

The 3 Phase Wattmeter is made from 3 Individual Wattmeters that are mechanically linked together.
2 have a common shaft and 1 is linked by some kind of Metal String that goes between 2 spools. The string was broken.
It has 1 internal and 2 external resistors as the schematic (picture 2) shows, one of those resistors is open, but not burned, I replaced the resistor with the same value. The other two resistors measure perfectly fine.

It seems like someone in the past tried to 0-Set the meter and broke both the string and the 0 bakelite 0 setting pin, since then nobody opened it up again since the broken bakelite pin was still inside the meter casing.

I've replaced the string with a wire of the same size and soldered it to the spool. 0 Setting still doesn't work. And I've repaired the open resistor (external of the meter) and tried the Wattmeter out. It works as a wattmeter but the scale is completely wrong.

Its supposed to be 100W per division, but now its 500W per division. I tried with 100W Load, 200W load, 400W load, 600W load and 1.2 kW load and they all agree on 500W per division. I would have to take the meter reading and devide it by 0.2 to get the actual power. The meter ignores Inductive and Capaicitive loads, so it is functioning as a REAL POWER meter.

3rd image i attached is how i attached the new wire I used a very thin wire as thick as the original, the original was some kind of conductive strap and was soldered and it is magnetic. But its conductivity doesnt metter since this part of the system is electrically isolated from the voltage and current coils.

The Bottom 2 meters like to return to the left. The top meter likes to return to the right (from its perspective) So i put it to the left, soldered it and let the wire be tentioned. Maybe I wasnt supposed to do that? Maybe the wire is supposed to be on the oppositive side of the spool? I dont know.

the 0 Setting still doesnt work, the wattmeter thats alone also has a 0 setting adjustment which is unaccessable from the outside, i tried adjusting it but it also changed nothing. So i am not sure what is going on.

All Coils measure Okay (Voltage and Current Coils), Resistors are perfect on value, its wired up exactly as the schematic shows. Only difference is that I am not supplying with with 3 Phase, I am running if off single Phase. it made no difference when I put all current coils in parallel or using each indivudually, the real power is still calculated "correctly" (misaligned scale but with correction factor it is correct). So it cant be that i am running it of single phase causing the problem.
The meter also says it is to be mounted horizontally, i have it sitting on the bench, i tried vertical operation but it made no difference also.
Something is wrong with the meter. Maybe I repaired it wrong. Anyone have an idea?

For Testing I supplied Power from R S T (power side) -> U V W (load side) with Mp being Neutral.
I tried R -> U, S -> V, T -> W indivudually, they all show the same reading indivudually and all parallel.

Problems: No Zero Setting (sits at 0.5kW on the scale with no load), Scale completely wrong. (supposed to be 100W/div, not 500W/div)

I hope someone here can help me. If more information is needed, please tell me in the comments. If anyone has a good resource on repairing analog meters please link it too. Thank you.

The resistors measure correctly.

Audio Modulated Mercury Thyratron (15QR40)

Audio Modulated Mercury Thyratron (15QR40)

How this works:

150V AC from a Variac gets bridge rectified (with no smoothing) -> 40 Ohm 200W load resistor -> Anode of the Thyratron. Cathode of the thyratron is grounded. The cathode is heated by a 5V 15A transformer.

Audio signal from the computer is fed through a 24/380V transformer stepping up the voltage (you can also use a 12V/230V transformer), in series with that there is a 0-60V power supply that then feeds into the tubes grid, with the polarity in such a way that it adds a negative bias to the tube grid. The negative bias controls at what audio level the grid can ionise the mercury and start the tube conduction.

And obviously when the mercury becomes conductive the tube glows.

If you have more questions, please write them in the comments.

AEG Telefunken Tube Datashest Handbook (1970)

Hello, last month I scanned in an AEG Telefunken Tube Datasheet book that doesnt seem to have been archived, form 1970, it has datasheets for tubes that have yet to be officially archived anywhere else online.

Includes amplifier, transmitting, CRTs and other tubes too.

Its both in English and German.

here is the link to it.
