Help diagnosing a noise: Big THUNK from front right when turning left at full lock over steep driveway lip or going straight over significant pot hole
Two recent jobs done to address front end noises:
1- Front left upper Ball joint replaced
2- Front right lower forward control arm replaced
Other recent work includes replacing all four brake rotors and all calipers two years ago so it's not brake related.
History: I found a suspension specialist I trust to fix front end noises that turned out to be suspension components. The two jobs above eliminated 90% of the creaky noises I was hearing and made the front left and front right both feel more planted. However, the final noises remain and my guy cannot determine what the last problem is. He figured out problem 2 above by using a four-mic ChassisEAR Electronic Squeak and Rattle Finder but even with that and a 3rd diagnostic session we cannot figure out the final problem.
I can replicate the FR CLUNK by leaving the parking lot of a grocery store nearby where I have to take a 90deg left turn at full lock of the steering wheel down a 2" lip from lot to the roadway. There also has to be a bit of speed to it, say, 8-12mph.
A significant pot hole when driving straight over it will also sometimes trigger the clunk. The weird thing is the road in front of my home has been under construction for months now and driving over bumpy, gravely roads doesn't do it unless I specifically look for a bigass pothole and go over 10mph.
When driving between 15 and 40 I can hear a rhythmic wub wub wub wub increase in speed as I speed up the car until road noise drowns it out. If I take a turn that loads up the FR suspension that noise gets louder and I can kinda feel it a bit in the steering wheel.
Any ideas? Thanks!
For those of you that get emails from the post office showing you mail that will show up, do you get those mail pieces same day or next day?
I signed up for Informed Delivery many years ago (link below) to see what mail is coming that day. I can't pinpoint when, but for quite a while now the mail that the email says will be delivered today shows up the following day, and rarely two days later. Anyone else experiencing this? Is there a way to tell if certain post offices are short staffed? It's usually not a big deal but there was something important I was hoping to get yesterday that came today instead which made me finally post this.
If it matters those emails come to me typically between 7am and 730, but sometimes as late as 845 and my mail doesn't get here until 3-5PM.
What is the best way to contact MT about adding a new bus line?
That isn't a specific category on the Contact Us page on their website. There's a generic comments@metrotransit.org email, but is that really the best/only option? Thanks!

imgur.comBest way to isolate shelves on a wall from Air Conditioner vibrations?
EDIT added 1 hour later: I do not have the budget at the moment for a new air conditioner of any kind. I've had the brackets and spare wood for the shelves for a while so I'm trying to do all this on the cheap.
I have an in-wall AC unit in my condo that runs like a poorly tuned diesel engine. For logistical reasons this wall ends up being the best one to put shelves on. The shelves will hold a Blu-Ray player, my home theater PC, and a Home Theater AV Receiver so I'd like to isolate and reduce the vibrations coming from the AC to the shelves. What kind(s) of mounting hardware could I use to reduce vibrations? I have some anti-fatigue matting I was planning on glueing on top of the shelf then setting the components on that matting; should I use something different for that part? TIA!
Edit: To clarify, this has ALWAYS happened. It's not an age related thing.
I've had my Speed6 for over a decade at this point and have noticed something odd even from the beginning. If it is dark out & the headlights on, if I roll down all four windows at once the headlights dim just a tiny bit, the engine loses roughly 100RPM, and the windows roll down slower than if it were day time. Even in the day time the length of time it takes the windows to roll down gets longer with each additional window I roll down. 1 Window being normal, 4 being WAY slower.
In the summer time, if I get in the car, turn on the AC, and roll the windows down to let the hot air out until the AC shoots out cold air, the windows are even slower still. At night, the cabin lights will also dim if I roll down multiple windows.
The odd thing is I don't go through car batteries any faster than normal, they always last 3+ years or more. I've had the alternator tested a few times over the years and it always tests OK.
Obviously it's not a critical thing but just an oddity I wonder if anyone else has...
