PCOS WEGOVY MICRODOSING

Hi from Sweden! 🇸🇪

I’m looking for some experiences or advice from anyone who might be in a similar situation…

Here is a brief background:
I am 165 cm (5'5") and weigh 70 kg (154 lbs).

I have PCOS and haven't had my period for 8 months now. According to all my blood work, my blood sugar is perfectly stable. My main issue is that no matter how well I eat or how much I exercise, my weight completely plateaus and I cannot seem to lose a single kilo.

I’ve previously tried Metformin, but the only thing it did was prevent me from gaining more weight, it didn’t bring my period back.

Interestingly, the moment my weight drops below 64 kg (141 lbs), my period returns like clockwork.

Because of this, my plan now is to start Wegovy until I reach around 62 kg (136 lbs). Once I hit that goal, the plan is to switch back to Metformin to help maintain the weight loss.

I don't suffer from "food noise" at all, so my only real struggle is this stubborn weight plateau and the missing period due to not being under that 64 kg threshold.

Has anyone else been on a similar journey? I would love to hear your thoughts!

GLP - no insulinresistens (PCOS/PMOS)

Has anyone with completely normal blood sugar and insulin levels started a GLP-1 medication specifically to regulate their cycle and get their period back?

Allergic to inositol?

Has anyone experienced itchiness on inositol?
I took inositol for 3 months, and suddenly 3 months on it I started to get itchy around my chest and neck.
This happens every time I take inositol, within 30 minutes..
makes me so sad because inositol has been my go too supplement 😞

My gyn wants me to microdose a GLP-1 for normal-weight PCOS. Anyone transitioned to Inositol afterward to maintain the weight?

Hi everyone,
I had an appointment with my gynecologist today and we came up with a new game plan that I wanted to share. I’m really curious to hear if anyone has tried something similar, especially when it comes to the transition afterward.

To give you some background on my stats and labs:
Height/Weight: I am 5'4" (164 cm) and currently weigh 154 lbs (70 kg).

Weight history: I am currently maintaining. I haven't gained or lost any weight for the past 2 years—I’ve been stuck at a steady 154 lbs, even though I track my food carefully and have a really good handle on my diet.

Labs: My blood sugar/HbA1c is completely normal. All my hormone panels came back normal too, except for slightly elevated testosterone and low-ish SHBG.

What I've tried so far:
Metformin: Tried it, but had absolutely no success with it.
Inositol: I’ve been taking it for 4 months now. It has done some amazing things, it actually regulated my satiety/fullness signals and completely stopped the hirsutism (stubborn chin hair) from growing! However, my cycles are still absent (7 months). I got some bad period cramps recently, but the ultrasound today showed that my uterine lining is still very thin and a period isn't on the way yet.

The new plan:
My gynecologist wants me to microdose a GLP-1 for a few months to help me lose weight.
Historically, my body completely resets and I get 100% regular periods whenever my weight drops below 141 lbs (64 kg). So the goal right now is to use a microdose of a GLP-1 to get down to around 132 lbs (60 kg). Once I hit that goal weight, the plan is to taper off the GLP-1 entirely and just stick to Inositol to maintain both my cycles and my weight.

My main questions for you guys:
Has anyone here with lean or normal-weight PCOS tried microdosing a GLP-1 (like Mounjaro or Ozempic) purely as a temporary metabolic tool to get over a weight plateau and restart your cycles?

Have any of you successfully transitioned off the GLP-1 and used Inositol to lock in and maintain your new weight without gaining it back?

I would love to hear your experiences and any tips you might have for this transition!

TIA! <3

Did weight loss become "normal" once Inositol regulated your cycle?

For those of you who were on inositol and managed to go from irregular to regular periods with the help of inositol and good dietary habits, did you also notice that you started losing weight like "normal women"?
My period is finally on its way (currently dealing with cramps!) after 7 months without it, all thanks to inositol, a high-protein diet, and a high fiber intake.
How long did it take before the weight started coming off, and how much weight did you actually lose? Did it also help with your "moon face"?
Or did you still need to work out hard and maintain a larger calorie deficit?

PCOS without food noise: did GLP-1 help you lose weight and get your period back?

Hi everyone,
I’m a woman who weighs 70 kg (154 lbs), is 164 cm (5’4”) tall, and haven’t had a period for 7 months.
I have PCOS.

However, I don’t really struggle with food noise. I eat in a very controlled way and don’t have constant cravings or obsessive thoughts about food. I used to have that years ago, but it has been gone for the last two years.

I do have chin hair, but since starting myo inositol three months ago, the hair growth has completely stopped. It’s been amazing!

Unfortunately, I still haven’t gotten my period back. Inositol has given me period cramps and other signs that something is happening, but no actual menstruation yet.

I tried taking the recommended 4 grams of 40:1 inositol daily, but after 2.5 months it gave me brain fog and severe morning fatigue, so I’ve had to reduce my dose to just 1 gram, and changed to myo inositol.

The only thing that has ever given me regular periods is weight loss. The problem is that I seem unable to lose or gain weight no matter what I do with diet and exercise.

I’m now considering taking Mounjaro (tirzepatide) for a few months to lose some weight, low dosage, then stopping it and going back to inositol to maintain my weight, since my weight is currently very stable.

Has anyone here done something similar?

I’m especially interested in hearing from people who
Don’t gain or lose weight easily
Don’t struggle with food noise
Used tirzepatide primarily to help with PCOS symptoms and weight loss
Regained regular periods while on tirzepatide

How was your experience? Did your cycle stay regular after stopping?

Thanks xx
