Don’t know why I only thought to ask this community about this now but here I am.
Bought my Bel Air in Dec 2024 so they were fairly new still. A few weeks in, I placed it in my jacket pocket when I was at the Chiropractor. When I was done, I reached into my pocket to find the blade opened halfway! Got home and played around with the pivot screw. In order to get it tight enough from easily opening on its own, the flipping action was sacrificed and awful. There was no happy medium. I even sent to Kershaw Canada and all he said was that it was missing one of the O springs. Sent it back to me and said all is good.
Tested it and detent was “better”. After a few days it became lax again. Is this normal for these knives? Anyone else have this issue? Anything I can do before I send it back out for service (such a pain)? The video starts w a slight flick, medium, then little more than medium flick.

This moulding was installed along with the full window replacement in our century old home (Toronto, Canada). It has been like this for about 10 years but noticed that it has peeled away by another 1/3-1/2”. I tried screwing it back into the wall where the curtain rod bracket is but I wasn’t hitting anything behind it. There is about at least a 1” portion of the wall that edges up behind it but I think it’s plaster and lathe. I don’t believe there is any proper framing behind this moulding. I think it’s hollow. I don’t want to remove it to see because that would be a bigger job than I could handle. Btw that is steel wool that I stuffed into the gap to prevent any crawlys from coming in. Our strip of row housing had a mouse problem 6 yrs ago.

Can I just use a trim screw or regular screw to secure into that edge of the wall?
