Is there a gift card scam?

Got a £30 voucher for my birthday but when I went to the till I was told there's nothing on the card.

Have I been scammed?

Do I need to return my Power Hub router or can I just recycle it locally?

As title. I'm leaving Vodafone, the letter I got states I can recycle by returning it to a shop or recycle it.

If I just recycle it locally is that the end of it? There's no penalty for not returning it to a shop?

What do they mean by a "kit"

The term kit is a bit ambiguous really and personally, I'm not a fan of the concept of being restricted to a set of pre-selected parts.

I like to mix and match, get value for money and find my own setup to make sure my setup is best for my situation.

I'm curious if places like CityPlumbing etc can just lash up a "kit" of a microinverter and a couple of panels and you're fully compliant or if it all needs to come nicely wrapped from Ecoflow (who seem keen to wrap up the market).

I'm pretty much set on an APSystems EZ1-M microinverter because it can be reliably integrated with Home Assistant locally and skip the cloud. I'd be surprised if there's a kit with this inverter in the next year or two.

I know people often accept you need to login to the cloud to monitor using an app as the norm these days but it's not ideal when they could simply paywall features with the auld bait and switch, or go under like Givenergy did leaving you stranded.

I also want more than a couple of panels.

Can I skip a scheduled parity check?

We're expecting a heat wave when my next parity check is scheduled for so I kicked off a manual check yesterday to prevent overheating the drives while the environment is cooler.

The scheduled parity check date remains unchanged though. Can I skip it somehow?

Stick with tracker or change?

Been on the Tracker for a few years now, any reason to move off it as I'm at the end of my current fixed term. It has served us well so far.

I can continue with the current Tracker tariff with zero exit fee's or move to something else?

We only use 3100kWh of leccy and 12000kWh of gas.

OpnSense NUT strangeness

I've been running NUT in opnsense for quite a while now using netclient. I logged in today and it shows "Nut is not started. Click to configure Nut."

Config is unchanged, diagnostics view is empty, suggesting its not working.

Logged into the console and if I go back to the gui and change the netclient IP address to a different IP (correct IP is 10.10.10.140), a console message shows

 Communications with UPS apcups@10.10.10.141:3493 lost
 UPS apcups@10.10.10.141:3493 is unavailable

If I change it back to use the correct IP of 10.10.10.140, the broadcast message in the console goes away, suggesting the connection back to the Nut server is all good.

Going back to the Nut diagnostics page in opnsense is still empty.

The /usr/local/etc/nut/upsmon.conf file shows

MONITOR apcups@10.10.10.140:3493 1 monuser 12345 slave
SHUTDOWNCMD "/usr/local/etc/rc.halt"
POWERDOWNFLAG /etc/killpower

The /usr/local/etc/nut/nut.conf file shows

MODE=netclient

Running upsc apcups@10.10.10.140:3493 gives a full diag output.

Anyone got any ideas what's going on here?

I bought a Keychron V3 Max TKL and I'm find it really frustrating

I bought the Keychron V3 Max TKL because I thought it would be a quality product and better than the Cooler Master and Corsair mechanical keyboards I've had previously which were fine, but only lasted a couple of years or so before the problems start.

This Keychron keyboard is just crap, to be honest. The double triggering is just driving me crazy and you only need a little bit of something under the keycap and it'll start playing up.

I updated the firmware, connected via cable and still the problems double trigger issues persist.

I'm just really frustrated with the experience. I wanted a keyboard that I could spend a bit more on and would last me a good few years but I made a mistake buying this KB.

Has anyone got any tips for fixing this issue please or should I just buy something else?
