Cursive writing

Hello everyone! I've been learning Spanish for 1,5 month now, my first language is Russian.

I use cursive to write in my notebook (photo in the comments), the same way I write in Russian or English, but my teacher says that ppl in Latin America never use cursive writing (except for old ladies), is it true? Do y'all really write in block letters? Is it easy or hard for you to read cursive notes?

A career path to work in Latin America countries

Hello guys! I'm from Russia, now I'm choosing a university and degree to go to (in Russia), In the future I want to move to any Latin America country, because I adore it's culture and want to experience it myself.

I want to do it after I graduate university here, in Russia, so I have some time to get a degree, learn Spanish and save enough money.

So I'm thinking which degree I should get, so I could possibly find a job there or go for masters? I'm interested in nature and Earth science, so I was thinking, maybe geology or something gas related?

My boss wants me to use AI, I hate it

I work as an administrator at an English language school (I don't live in an English-speaking country). I really enjoy my job; it’s low-stress, I have great colleagues, and I get to practice my English.

One of my duties involves creating graphics such as class schedules and conversation club timetables, for social media posts etc. I usually create them using a local equivalent of Canva. This is my favorite part of the job because I enjoy working on the composition and creating visually appealing images.

However, my boss recently discovered that we could simply use ChatGPT. Now, she asks me to create a rough draft of the schedule, feed it into ChatGPT, and have the AI generate a polished design. I hate it. I genuinely believe that all AI generated images look bad, they feature inconsistent font sizes, strange artifacts, and just generally look poor. I strongly dislike the use of AI for this purpose and do not support companies or small businesses that use AI generated images instead of hiring a designer or attempting to create something themselves.

I haven't told her how I feel. I realize that, in her eyes, I can't compete with ChatGPT when it comes to speed and visual appeal.

There’s also the fact that I plan to leave in two months (to start university), and she doesn't know that yet. Should I voice my dissatisfaction, or simply stay quiet, finish out the two months, and leave?

Helix healing process

Hello everyone! Just got my helix pierced yesterday (on my BD!) and my piercer advised me to fully submerge the peirced area into saline for 3 minutes twice a day, and after that clean any crusts of it with a q tip. And to treat it with Chlorhexidine a couple times per day/when needed.

I've never heard about submerging the ear into saline before it's kinda weird, so I want to ask here is it like a normal advice?

I'm also a bit worried that it's a bit to close to the side of my ear :( I'm planning on wearing a simple flat back labret with a ball untill it's fully healed and a hoop after that

I've been using KZ Castor Harman pro for a long time, I also have Kiwi Cadenza II ordered, can't wait to try them on!

But now I also want to have a bullet style pair of IEMS, any suggestions would be appreciated

Clothing fabrics

Hello everyone! I moved to another country and I took very little clothes with me, because I had to fit everything into small suitcase. I think this is an opportunity for me to build a nice, sustainable and colourful capsule wardrobe, but I'm wondering which fabrics are better for that purpose

On one hand, polyester is very durable, not expensive and easy to take care of, and natural fabrics are get worn out quickly, it takes time and patience to wear them (ironing for example). But it's better to wear natural fabrics for your skin and the environment overall

So I was thinking, which fabrics do y'all prefer in your closet?

DAP with Bluetooth

Hello everyone!

I want to get a DAP, that will be able to support Bluetooth connection. I know that wired headphones are much better and I've been using IEM with my laptop for a long time, I just like the convenience of Bluetooth headphones and want to have them as an option.

I'd prefer if the DAP will have physical buttons instead of touch screen and my budget is around 140$
