Some of you know I purchased this authentic copy of Pokémon Emerald from a reputable game reseller on eBay. It turned out the original owner had an almost complete living National Dex only missing 7 Pokémon..

Those were: Charmeleon, Charizard, Kabuto, Kabutops, Blissey, Politoed, & Aerodactyl.

I'm reporting back to say I went ahead and finished completing his National Dex and got him his well deserved Diploma.

Alec was also particular about wanting his Pokémon organized in living numerical order inside the PC, so I did my best to finish labeling the boxes correctly and placing the last 6 Pokémon in the right places

The save file has also been backed up and will be preserved. Cheers, Trainer Alec!

Trainer ALEC, if you are out there somewhere your Pokémon are safe! I'm pretty impressed by this save file.. I wonder why he didn't complete the national Pokédex? He was very close.

Most of the Pokémon in the PC are from the OT, all seem legitimately obtained. He did do quite a few trades, mostly with people named "Alec" (in lower case) which is probably from FR/LG because his Mewtwo has that OT.. "MICHAEL" which is likely from Gale of Darkness, and "WES" which is likely from Colusseum.

I will be backing up this save when I decide to restart the cartridge. Aside from that, I might even consider completing his Pokédex. Either way, this cart was sold for a reason. It's possible he either passed away, didn't care anymore and sold it, or fell on hard times and needed the money. Who knows

Anyway, I was impressed by what seems to be this legitimate (almost complete) Pokédex.

It is still alive and well on my original copy of Pokémon Diamond that I got all those years ago
