why were the first continents made like they were?

i know tectonic plates and such are behind the modern landmasses, but is there any logic behind why they were that shape to begin with? is it just random? why did Ur look like that?

Probably the strangest Francian empire ive ever seen

i was preparing for a war to force the feudal francian empire to pay tribute to the empire of italia when i noticed that almost all of france is ruled by an extremely rich occitanian toulousian administrative vassal, who only earns 200 gold and who has basically no gold in his treasury
