Electric guitar luthier/set-up in Brandon

Hey there.

I'm looking to get one of my electric guitars, a Jazzmaster, set up. It's a bit more complicated than the more common models and it's really gotten to the point of unplayability now. I've fooled around with it some and I can't fix what is wrong so I'm in need of a professional.

I've taken it (and other guitars) to Ted Good's/Faders a bunch of times and they never seem to do anything beyond putting new strings on it, so I'm looking for alternatives. Anybody have any recommendations for a trustworthy and competent luthier/setup person?

Majestic 800

Hey typerinos.

I got a Majestic 800 for my first foray into typewriters. I was looking for an electric one but this one fell into my lap (not literally that would hurt) for a good price from a friend so here it is! I quite like it, though my finger strength needs work haha. One of the keys (*) can get stuck sometimes but otherwise it's in good shape. I do notice that the type is kind faint and uneven compared to some examples I've seen. Maybe it's the platten? The paper? My technique? I'm sure somebody with more knowledge than me can figure it out.

Anybody here do bonsai or know somebody who does bonsai?

Maybe a shot in the dark, but I've been looking for a new hobby that would force me to actually learn and be patient and be challenging, and I think bonsai would fit the bill. It's also cool!

Does anybody here have experience with it or know somebody who does? The internet is lovely and all but actually talking to somebody would be better, haha.

A Tale of Two Saturn Pads

Hi folks,

I recently got two USB4MAPLE adaptors to use Retro-bit Saturn USB pads on the Dreamcast for fighting games. The first controller I bought works a treat, no issues there. The second one, which only differs from the first in terms of colour (even bought it from the same brick-and-mortar store), doesn't show any input at all. It works fine on my Switch 2 so I'm not sure why it won't register on the USB4MAPLE.

I've tired using different adapters (I have two), different USB cables (I have...two) and tried all the button macros on the pad, and according to 240p Test Suite it just won't register any input at all.

Call me a lumberjack, because I'm stumped. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Is this geometry fixable in the service menu or am I opening this sucker up?

Finally got that test suite thing on my Dreamcast and woo doggy the geometry is...eccentric, to say the least. Is it possible to at least get it decent through the service menu or am I opening this thing up?

Also, what's a good degaussing wand I can use on the right side there? I've power cycled the TV a lot and the purity issue won't go away.
