My tolerance slowly creeped up and I think now I'm psychologically addicted

I got sober from alcohol a year and a half ago. About 6 months in to that sobriety, I found a regular K dealer. I'd always loved k but only really ever used it for specific occasions - concerts, a weekend camping, that sorta stuff. Over the course of the last year my use just slowly ramped up - in a way I wasn't even noticing, or at least I didn't want to notice so I didn't. I would take a few weeks break at a time to try not to fuck up my tolerance TOO bad but it still crept up.

Anyway, about 6 weeks ago I went through a quarter (7g) in a week and was barely even getting effects. K at small doses made everything have this dream-like quality, like I was living in a movie, and yeah I guess I got addicted to that feeling. I had been planning a vacation for a while and was looking forward to using it on my trip, took a few weeks off beforehand, but I barely got high and I spent too much of the trip with a runny nose, congested, etc.

It's probably a blessing in disguise because I don't have any bladder symptoms and I haven't structurally fucked my nose up. But honestly I'm mostly sad I nuked my tolerance. It's the only thing that's gotten me to stop. I should have kept saving it for special occasions - or at least random weekends - and now I feel like maybe the magic is gone forever. I thought I found a cheat code that let me escape reality without drinking (which really fucks my shit up) lol and obviously in retrospect that was crazy wishful thinking

Driving from El Chalten to Bariloche - do I need an SUV?

Apologies if this is an obvious question to some. I'm renting a car and driving from El Chalten to Bariloche in November. I was gonna do north --> south but turns out the one-way fees are crazy if you go in that direction so we flipped it

Renting an SUV would be double the price as an economy car. I've been reading that parts of route 40 can be pretty rough driving. Do I definitely NEED an SUV / 4x4? I'm leaning that way anyway since my husband and I camp a lot with our SUV at home, and it's sooo much easier/more comfortable than doing it in a sedan. But we are trying to stay on a budget. I'll pay the extra money if I absolutely have to but looking for some extra guidance on road quality, etc. Thanks!

Road trip from Bariloche to El Chalten - Looking for advice on lodging

Two of us are road tripping from Bariloche to El Chalten. We have about a week. I'm wondering how finding lodging is along the way. I've been reading about how gas stations can be sparse and you should really stop and fill up any time you see one... is lodging the same way?

Basically I'm wondering if we need to have a strict itinerary and know exactly where we're staying every night. It's a lot of driving (we do love road trips) and I'm sure there will also be a lot of different places we want to see/hike/stop. But obviously I don't want to be stranded in the middle of Patagonia sleeping in a car

This group has already been so helpful so thanks in advance!

Creatine has helped me soooo much

Felt like posting in case it helps anyone. I was really struggling with fatigue for a month or so (enough fatigue that I considered stopping). People in this group recommended creatine, I've been taking it consistently every day for about a month and I feel completely different. Like I have my baseline energy levels back!!!

Also my butt started looking a teeny bit flatter even though I was still lifting. And I really think the creatine helped bring it back. I've never been super consistent with supplements but this one has helped with the way I feel and look enough that it's become easy to remember to take it every day. Just wanted to share 😄
