Tech savvy for kobo?

I’m about to take the plunge and purchase a kobo. Reading through this sub I’m a little nervous that I need to be tech savvy in order to get this set up. There seems to be lots of different options with this koboreader -and other things I’m seeing.

I’m not a total dense, but definitely not super IT inclined.

E reader comparison list?

Hi
Can anyone point me to an e-reader comparison chart? I thought there might be one pinned to this sub, but I’m not seeing one.

I’m thinking about taking the dive, but I had no idea how many options they were these days.

I have to be able to access Libby for library books, and something that is soft on the eyes.

I don’t even know where to begin or what to think about!

Thanks

Specific Request - base layers for a college kid

My kid is moving from a mild climate to a very cold climate. She also runs COLD. We know to layer but can any offer any specifics for base layers that meet the following requirements:

  1. will last/durable

  2. ok to put in washer/dryer (she will not lay flat to dry)

  3. will keep her warm

  4. bonus points if from a mom/pop shop OR REI (since she has a few gift certificates there)

  5. not itchy

Thank you!

Backward engineering - what size bag would you suggest?

Traveling to Iceland early October - combination of daily yoga, daily hikes and moving lodging every couple of days. I will need two pairs of shoes, clamp ons, waterproof pants, layers. I guess I will carryon my coat? (I refuse to do laundry but happy to wear items multiple times). I will also be carrying a personal item (when traveling and for my daypack use there).

I am in "need" of a new bag so considering making the purchase for this trip. My current travel scene is the (checked) medium AWAY bag that I use whether I travel for 6 days or 6 weeks. I want to move away from that (esp for this trip). Plus, a good size carryon.

For you one bag experts, what size bag do you think I could (beginner) get away with?

Please dont suggest 3L :-) - I am not there (yet). I am not tied to a back back or roller - I think I just need to start with a realistic size advice and go from there. I own the Timbukt2 Copilot Roller 37L so that is an option (is it?)?

Thanks everyone!
