while I’m using the free version they are making clicking sounds when I’m in voice mode whenever there’s any sort of ambient noise now, even a duck farting from three blocks away is not input is not a prompt so why is he using up my prompts? My dog barking does not mean that a prompt? But it responds back “sorry I couldn’t understand what you were saying“

one day I started counting the clicks—30 times within a five minute period!!!

If I take a shower and I’m talking to in the shower to work it through some things because I like multitasking and utilizing my time efficiently it takes the sounds in the shower, sounds of blowing my nose, yawning, It takes the sound of my groaning it takes the sounds of my clearing my throat the sound of my dog farting in the next room over the sounds of a lit candle one time set it off and uses up all my prompts then I’m told I’ve reached my limit within an hour waking up for the day—30 times within 55 minutes!!!

It acting less like a bug or design flaw & more like an upgrade feature: to make ppl upgrade out of frustration. Just run thru all of your prompts w/ that annoying, insisting excessive clicking at every little sound made so you have to pay for the paid version earlier than you would have to…

How much problems is it gonna cause my phone when I turn Siri off permanently? I can’t switch apps without to restarting the app all over all over again. I lost everything I was writing in a very important emergency email that needs to go out to many different places today I was in ChatGPT trying to type it out and it got it all typed out for some reason it didn’t send at all so I went back to the website to get the first draft of it and this was the final draft so I’m going to get the first draft so I wasn’t going to be completely devoid of it. I tried to copy and paste it again and it wasn’t in the buffer in the memory because Siri is using up all the memory before it’s just turning off for random reasons and not doing anything it’s asked to do and then like taking 45 minutes to come up with an idea of what it’s supposed to do. It takes five minutes for it to do any single thing function, except for calls calls. It will take about a minute before it will make them unless there’s a place that I can find a cut and paste from like two cut and paste selections ago and I can still grab that. I don’t see any reason to keep this bitch anymore… She is useless. I mean this is completely useless. I can’t can’t do anything with this. I can’t even use my apps regularly. I can use the app switcher nothing without rebooting everything so it’s just completely utterly useless is causing problems of my work cause I’m a rideshare driver so I reboot I think every single time and I lose rides this way I’m losing money because of this I can’t I can’t have this on my phone anymore. How much I mean problems is it gonna cause if I turn this bitch off I would love to go back to the old one that didn’t take up all the memory on the iPhone this is insane.

When Siri doesn’t do what it is supposed to do, I like to follow up with “Siri why are you so useless?” Or “Why can’t you do a damn thing I ask?”

Then it immediately, without question or preamble, asks for confirmation to proceed with doing exactly what I asked for it to do before… to PERFECTION!

You just have to question it’s competency, apparently that works every time!

I hate the voice model that you can interrupt what they’re saying because when they had one, we were just wait for it to prompt and then you could talk because I say a lot of things under my breath about shit that would interrupt the conversation or I finally got myself trained to not do that. It took a while, but I did and now it takes any ambient noise. I mean, I’m talking like the shower, running the air conditioner blowing the dog yawning the dog barking. The dog farting me, farting me, coughing me clearing my throat me sneezing me, stretching me, groaning a duck farting from three blocks away any of these things and so many more, the sound of a fire crackling like a candlelight will set that thing off!!! And within 45 minutes of me starting a voice session like when I’m taking a shower and need to talk to somebody, but within 45 minutes of me starting that it will give me the error message that I’ve reached my daily limit, which is impossible because I’ve hardly talked to about anything… However, the clicking is going on like crazy, which means it’s picking up all these ambient noises and then it respond “sorry I couldn’t understand what you said” and I say to it “I didn’t say anything, continue” and that uses up two of my prompts right there! I don’t know how many prompts we get per day, but I’m pretty sure that it’s ticking away at those every time that damn thing clicks on my phone I hear that click I know it’s using one of my prompts right then and there and then it’ll say something like he didn’t understand what I said and I’ll respond back that I didn’t say anything for him for it to continue and boom there’s two of them wasted right there and if it responds back to what I said like, oh I’m sorry I didn’t realize that that wasn’t an input. I was like continue again and that’s three prompts I counted two days ago how many prompts there was used 30 prompts within a five minute period talking about shit that had nothing to do with what I originally asked Yet. It got off the subject very easily and kept talking about this shit and I said stop talking about it go back to what the original answer was and then it would say weird shit and say things like you’re welcome and I’m done nobody said thank you nobody said any of that did you think I said that cause there was NO sound on this end?

AMBIENT NOISE IS NOT INPUT!!!
BODILY FUNCTIONS IS NOT INPUT!!!
ANIMALS ARE NOT INPUT!!!
DUCKS FARTING THREE BLOCKS AWAY ARE NOT INPUT!!!

STOP USING ALL MY PROMPTS WITH ALL THIS CLICKING!!!

And yes, I do realize that the voice isolation has to be turned on and it is turned on, so I don’t understand why it’s not working but just because I clear my throat does not mean that’s input either!!

So whenever I would be dictating a text and it says you wanna send and I say yes then send the message

but if you say “oh shit” like you’re driving and send a message and somebody tries to swing in front of you or someone cut you off in traffic or say “oh fuck” “oh shit” right afterwards immediately afterwards when it’s still listening…

… it will unsend the message!

That’s the funniest thing I’ve ever seen… And Siri did it rather consistently.

Did get annoying at one point because like every time I say “oh fuck” “oh shit” cause I say “motherfucker” like it’s a verb. I mean, I say it pretty much every other word I’m channeling Samuel L Jackson when I wake up in the morning, everything hurts, but if you say that immediately after text message, it will unsend it for you!

Ok, so that 2019a w/ 176k mi that I was looking at: a Carfax has been produced:

✅RDX HAS 176k mi on it, which the high mileage is a good thing as that means it has lasted this long which means it has been maintained in order to have lasted this long.

🚩RDX has those 3 entries along w/ DMV title sale & Auction entries on the Carfax.
✅RDX has Carfax claiming no open recalls.
✅RDX appears to be really well taken care of which leads me to believe that a previous owner maintained it like my father does by doing it all themselves since far from dealership (there is a 30% chance 1 owner did this, but a 9% probability that both did this & mostly likely they were related father-son to teach maintenance discipline to the 2nd owner)
✅RDX 1st was leased, 2nd owner purchased
🚩RDX has 20k more miles than my 2017a

Has anyone else lost the ability to get their crown button to do anything since the Siri Beta update on their iPhone?

Yes, I cleaned it. It worked once so I was satisfied. Then as usual since the iOS 26 update, the battery died before 24hrs are up (never know the exact duration as I am unconscious at the time) when I was asleep as opposed to the 72hrs of battery life i got prior on iOS 18. Since then, it’s out again.

It’s a programming bug, anyone else experiencing it?

To add to the list of things Siri is doing currently:

- crashing every app when I switch between them
- rebooting every app when I switch between them
- locking up the Siri bubble
- locking up all my phones RAM memory requiring a forced restart to clear
- still doesn’t do anything I ask
- takes a long time thinking… to not do anything I ask
- doesn’t have conversations like ChatGPT
- even more useless than the prior version

FURTHER CONTEXT — it’s the little Speak button on your steering wheel. If you hold it down fora few seconds the let off, it activates Siri on your Bluetooth connected phone.

But if you quick press for a second, it brigs up te voice control menu where it will prompt you w/ a chime to say a verbal command (like “Fan Off” & it turns the fan off, fan down turns it down, fan [1-7] turns the fan to the desired speed, temp 65 sets the temp to 65, next track plays the next track, volume up turns up volume, call Jace to call Jace, etc) so you don’t take your hands off the wheel to make those changes.

In theory that is, I have not gotten mine to do the correct command that I tell it to do yet…

2017a 150k mi MSM 3.5l V6 — 2 questions:

1 - how do you tell if that VCM or “drops-engine-from-6-cylinders-to-4-cylinder” thing is activated on my RDX? cuz I really should be getting better mpg numbers than this…

2 - my front & rear driver side parking sensors go crazy after it rains & one of the front facing parking sensors, the driver side one, pops out randomly & is a b!€+# to get popped back in… why is this occurring & how do I prevent recurrence of either of these issues?

OK, I’ve gotta ask. I have work rideshare and people who get annoyed that I don’t get out of the car and like put a red carpet out for them and pick up their steamer trunk that is way heavier than my doctor will allow me to pick up with my spinal injury into the back of the car nor do I want to take the chance of being carjacked when I get out of the car to lift something I cannot lift and damage my spine further and they have to do it themselves. Well they don’t wait for me to push the button to close it. They get all pissy and slam it shut and I’m wondering if that’s going to damage my motor that opens and shuts the liftgate or damages the sensors to let me know that there’s something in the way of the liftgate.

Has anyone had experience with people slamming their liftgate and causing damage to the hydraulics or the power arm/motor for the liftgate?
