omg this is all sooo sad... Disturbing new details in The Challenge star Tyler Duckworth’s death after neighbor called 911 over ‘flooded apartment’
the-sun.comLoan suggestions for investment property
We have the opportunity to buy the home next door to us in a desirable neighborhood in NYC for well below market value, as the home needs a good deal of work, and our neighbors want the property to go to a neighborhood family and not a flipper. Our current home is a 2-family, and we successfully renovated & rented one of the units. The renovations were done by us with the help of a family member who's a GC out of state. Our income between us, including our rental, is $386,000. I've been at the same company for more than 5 years; however, my partner is a contractor who's only been contracting for less than 2 years, but makes the majority of the money. We are looking to purchase the home quickly, as the neighbor is eager to sell asap. We think renovations should cost less than $75,000 with family help, and closer to $150k if we need to hire a contractor for the loan. We would be able to put out at least 20% down. We do want to close on this ASAP thou & not drag it out beyond the projected end of one of my husband's contracts in October. Any suggestions or additional questions for clarity's sake are welcome. He has excellent credit. My credit is lower at 710, but I think I can quickly get it up to 720 or even 740 in time.

A quick THANK YOU for the support of Fleet & Alderton safety!
Sharing a link to some of the coverage yesterday.
What an amazing, strong and engaged community we are!
We were in this group asking for testimonials, petition signatures and rally support, and you all came through BIG TIME.
Residents showed they are just as mad as we are about this deadly intersection (at Baby Steps, right by PS 174 & FHYAA) and the DOT’s consistent inability to do a damn thing about it.
We had a great turnout at the rally yesterday with about 80 people in attendance, and FOX 5 & PIX11 coverage, plus online coverage with more rolling out today.
The DOT is trying to make excuses by saying there haven’t been any serious injuries here in the last 5 years, but we have receipts proving otherwise.
Unfortunately, by the DOT response, the fight has clearly only begun, but for now, sharing the package that ran on FOX 5, with other news spots hitting both channels’ shows throughout the day yesterday.
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH AGAIN for caring to make our community safer and stronger!
If you want to keep up on our fight, you can follow us at Safe Crossing Project on IG & FB.

the-sun.comJoin our RALLY June 3rd! Deadly intersection at Alderton & Fleet sts (At Baby Steps near FHYAA & PS 174)
It would be incredible to have community support, everyone whose had to go through this intersection knows how bad it is.
I’m part of a group of parents advocating for URGENT safety improvements at the intersection of *Fleet and Alderton* on the Rego Park/Forest Hills border.
We are putting together a rally at 9:30AM, Wednesday, June 3rd, at the intersection in front of the damaged fence at Baby Steps after a car ran into our kids' daycare and crushed the Ghost Bike memorial from a fatal car vs. cyclist crash there in 2017.
According to data, there have been accidents with injuries almost every year at this intersection, including ones involving pedestrians.
Help us tell the DOT that enough is enough; they need to take action!
