basically i’m going with a large group of friends, and (in past trips to other countries) for meals/whatever else we all do together, we’ve always just equally contributed to the group fund in cash and pay out of that pocket as it is the most convenient method for us

question is, since china is mostly cashless, will paying for food, didi, etc in cash be an inconvenience to the recipient? in that they have to provide change, etc

we are trying to be mindful

nb i’m not really looking for suggestions on how else to manage group spendings, we will take turns paying and use splitwise if ppl agree that cash would be an inconvenience to others, but if it wont be, they we would prefer to use cash
