I’ve never kissed anyone in my life, and I’m trying to understand whether it’s possible to get oral HSV through casual, non-sexual contact.
Has anyone here actually been diagnosed with oral HSV despite:
Never kissing anyone
No oral sex
No sexual contact involving the mouth
Only casual body-to-body contact or sharing cups/utensils?
I’m also wondering about a specific situation: Has anyone gotten oral HSV after genital fluid contacted their fingers, but they washed their hands immediately afterward? Is transmission to the mouth from this type of contact actually something that has happened to anyone?
I’m looking for real experiences and medically informed answers rather than reassurance or speculation. Thanks.

I'm curious about real-world experiences.
Has anyone here had a total knee replacement (TKR) and still been able to kick-start a motorcycle? I'm asking about manual kick starters on larger motorcycles, not electric-start scooters.
Which knee was replaced?
How long after surgery could you kick-start the bike?
Was it painful or did it feel unstable?
Did your surgeon or physiotherapist advise against it?
I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone with personal experience. Thanks!

I'd love to hear about your long-term experience. How do you walk now? Do you have pain, instability, or difficulty with daily activities? Did ACL reconstruction surgery help, or did you manage without surgery? Have you needed any additional surgeries, such as a knee replacement?
Please describe your experience in as much detail as possible.

Please share your experience if you've had a knee replacement more than 5 years ago and are doing well. I'm curious because I have ACL and meniscus tears and may need surgery in the future.
I'd appreciate hearing about:
What is your pain level now? Is it close to 0?
Can you stand up from a chair independently without difficulty?
Does the operated leg feel shorter, weaker, or different from the other leg?
Has the knee affected your hip balance or caused any hip problems?
Are you able to use a low-level toilet or squat comfortably?
Thank you very much for taking the time to comment. I really appreciate any long-term experiences

I'm a 37-year-old male. I had a knee injury from an accident about 15 years ago. After about two weeks, it felt mostly okay, except for occasional instability when running. I didn't think much of it and simply avoided running.
About 13 years later, the instability became much worse, so I finally had an MRI. The results showed a high-grade ACL tear and a horizontal tear of the medial meniscus. My doctor recommended ACL reconstruction, but I was afraid of surgery and postponed it.
About a week ago, I felt a crack on the lateral side of my knee, where the lateral meniscus is located. Since then, I've had some pain and I'm worried that I may have injured the lateral meniscus as well.
Currently, I cannot stand up from a seated position using that leg alone, and I cannot put much weight on it when the knee is bent. Walking is easier only when I keep the leg relatively straight.
Has anyone recovered and improved after ACL reconstruction from a similar condition, especially after living with the injury for many years?
I appreciate your response. Thank you for taking the time to reply and share your experience.

I had a knee accident about 15 years ago and had a partial ACL tear. I managed for many years, but now things are getting worse. About 1 year ago I did an MRI and it also showed a horizontal tear in the medial meniscus.
Now I have difficulty standing up after sitting for some time. I cannot run, do deep squats, or climb comfortably. Sometimes the knee feels unstable too.
I am thinking about doing ACL reconstruction surgery now, together with meniscus repair or partial removal if needed.
My questions are:
Has anyone done ACL reconstruction many years after the original injury and still got good results?
Did your ability to climb stairs, squat, run, or live normally improve after surgery and rehab?
Were you able to do deep squats again?
Also, because of insurance issues, I may need to wait another 11 months before surgery. Is that usually okay, or can more damage happen during that time?
I would really appreciate hearing real experiences from people who had long-term ACL injuries before surgery. Thank you.
Has anyone lived without problems after ACL/meniscus surgery?
I’ve seen many people mention having serious issues for years after ACL surgery, which makes me worried.
Has anyone here had ACL surgery and gone on to live without ongoing problems?
I’ve had an ACL tear for about 15 years, but I haven’t experienced major issues so far. Because of that, I’m a bit afraid to go through surgery and end up worse than I am now.
