Starting Preschool in 2 Months! What should I focus on?

My son just turned 3 and he is starting preschool in September! It is M-F and 9-11:30am only. Up until this point he’s only been home with me and my husband (we both WFH) and a few hours each day 1:1 with one of his grandmas. In general he’s a slow to warm kiddo and mostly potty trained (with prompting and reminders) - the school requires this fyi. The preschool he is going to is Reggio Emilia and they do a lot of play and outdoors so I’m not so much asking what he needs to know academically (he’s great at his colors, shapes, numbers, ABC, writing, etc). I guess I am more nervous about him “being on his own” for 2.5 hours without 1:1 from me or my mom. For example, lately I’ve been trying to have him open his own snacks or pull up/down his shorts and undies when he goes potty. What all would you guys recommend to make the transition as smooth as possible in 2 months!?

Small Potty to Actual Potty Transition

We’ve been working on potty training for the past 2 months - he’s got it for the most part (peeing, that is!). For the last 2 months we have been using only the small potty - we bring it with us and I stick it in my trunk/hatch and we go in parking lots, in between errands, etc. At home we have an insert where it’s attached to a small ladder and he can pee on the actual toilet, but it’s maybe been 2-3 times and it has a cute little bear on it. Point being - we are going to a theme park in 2 weeks and we can’t bring the small potty, but he also refuses to use the Frida potty insert that I carry around. We have 2 weeks - part of me is thinking about teaching him how to pee standing OR getting him to use the insert - thoughts and recommendations?!?

Black triangle help

I got this black triangle on my bottom row after Invisalign. Is this easy to fix? Or is this a more complicated process to get this closed?
It doesn’t bother me a ton cosmetically but I hate that I’ve gotten into the habit of playing with it with my tongue and I get food stuck in it all the time.

Feeling Guilty For Not Throwing a Birthday Party for 3 YO

My little guy will be 3 next month! Many people have asked “oh are you guys having a party?!” and I’ve been responding…no….but the last few weeks with lots of invitations to graduation parties and other kids’ parties, baby showers, etc. the guilt is creeping in.

He doesn’t go to daycare so he does not yet have friends. I have a few close mom friends with little babies that he’s parallel played with but they’re too young to really have a relationship with. We live in an apartment so I’d have to find a space to throw this party (a park, a fun place, etc) and that’s expensive. I’m coming from the place of I’m going to make his birthday special for HIM (balloons, decorations, cake, presents, a really fun day, etc) but throwing a party feels like it is expensive and more work than I have the energy for right now. We had a small party when he was 1 for the milestone, but I guess I sort of figured I’d wait until maybe 4 or 5 when he has a few friends and can actually enjoy his birthday to throw one. Anyone else??

Car Detailers

I’m looking to get my car detailed (clay bar, polishing, wheels/tires, and a deep interior cleaning). My car is already pretty well maintained, but I’d love to have it professionally detailed at my home. I live in an IC apartment complex, though there’s a main street nearby where they could wash it if needed.

I realize I could just go on Yelp, but I feel like reviews aren’t always totally reliable, so I’d much rather get a personal recommendation. Does anyone have suggestions for an honest, reasonably priced company that does great work?
