Assuming all drink/will drink, who would be the heaviest drinker?

I could imagine Sayori as both the heaviest and lightest drinker lololol

Shoot (____) or Look Away — how would you have made this an actually difficult decision?

Shoot Kenny or Look Away — while the statistics have evened out as people replay alternate endings, the majority have “Look Away” as their initial decision.

How would you, as Telltale, rewritten this moment to have been 50/50 from release?

Something small I’d add is having Kenny actually hurt Clem. He shoves her away while beating Arvo but it’s an accident — I would write him slapping her on purpose, in a moment of rage or fear.

He’d immediately freak out and apologize, but later would hurt her again in a more accidental way, like dragging her around in a painfully tight grip, but not stop/only stop after repeated pleading. (Maybe these incidents could be in reverse order…? Idk)

Having Kenny actually hurt Clem would lend credence to the other characters/Jane thinking that he’s too unstable to be a guardian and is dangerous to the group. Canonically they just seem over-cautious — of course Kenny is grumpy, his girlfriend just died!

There’d be more in a full rewrite but like I said this is just a small thing I’d change.

How about you?

There are two moments in s2 that seem very Kenny-biased…

Some say s2 has a Jane bias, but I say thats what s2 wants you to think, calling Kenny ~totally crazy~ 24/7 to mask how the game bends over backwards to validate his actually crazy decisions. This bias really shows at two major points, imo: Clem’s shooting and the discovery of Wellington.

—

Clem’s shooting. To start, Arvo isn’t very likable. This could have been easily changed — force Clem to rob him, have his sister die without her medicine, anything.

But no. So most players don’t care that much when Kenny starts beating the shit out of Arvo for breathing weird, supposedly to show how far Kenny’s fallen. Except…

KENNY’S RIGHT!!

Arvo shoots Clem for basically no reason. Most players, who already find Arvo unsympathetic, see this as validation of Kenny’s abuse. Arvo was a threat. I think I know what Telltale was going for, that Kenny’s mistreatment made Arvo want to hurt him back, even by shooting a child, but most seem to take this as vindication for Kenny.

To make things worse, the shooting was entirely unnecessary. Mike or Bonnie could have easily knocked Clem out instead, giving us the same flashback/timeskip. But no… Kenny needs to look good right before the final showdown.

—-

Wellington. Jane is entirely reasonable for doubting Wellington. There’s no actual proof of the place, and even if it does exist, what are the chances they can find it in the thousands of miles of apocalyptic Ohio (?) before supplies run out?

But Kenny is bullheaded and refuses to spend literally 2 days stocking up at Howe’s—

which is actually fine because Wellington just so happens to a day’s walk from the rest stop.

WHAT?????

It’s so painfully convenient and cliche. Realistically (inb4 “it’s a zombie game ofc it’s unrealistic”), if Kenny/Clem/AJ walked into the sunset together, it’d take months to find Wellington, if they didn’t die along the way.

But no. Wellington is right next door and Jane is just a scrooge for being skeptical and preferring a plan that doesn’t rely on a magical paradise that may or may not exist and may or may not be thousands of miles away.

—

Making Bonnie/Mike knock Clem out and keeping Wellington’s a pipe dream (can still be a happy ending) would’ve helped “even things out” between Kenny and Jane, imo.

And don’t get me started on s3…. I have no idea how Telltale could finish writing Kenny and Jane’s death scenes and think “yes, these feel equally rewarding and in-character.”

What i the Governor met the fledgling Saviors in s4, instead of…?

…Tara&Co? (Think my last post got deleted for spoilers? Idk)

I know it’s a long way to Virginia, just assume Gov could (and would choose to) during the timeskip. We’ll also assume Negan has taken over at this point. Don’t think too hard basically lololol

—

Now… Gov was absolutely miserable at this point. He was ready to give up and die on the street before seeing Megan in the window. I don’t think Negan would inspire this same passion, but i do think he’d be immediately taken by the prospect of “fixing” this “radass, badass” 6’4 pirate man and would try forcing Gov into the Saviors instead of the workers.

Unlike with Martinez’s group I don’t think Gov would immediately make a grab for power here. Gov mainly took over because he’s a control freak & didn’t trust anyone else to protect his new family. Alone, with nothing to care about, Negan might actually be able to beat Gov into a loyal savior… for a time. After regaining his strength & self esteem, without the Chamblers as motivation to be a better person, I could see solo-Gov’s ego taking over and him attempting to usurp Negan.

I could also see Negan just failing to “fix” Gov. Maybe Gov would be allowed to be a worker to repay his forced debt, or maybe Gov would just refuse to do anything and basically commit suicide by Lucille.

So like do you guys think he knows about hitler or

How much history has clem taught him? Does CLEM even know about hitler, beyond “he was a bad guy a long time ago that’s irrelevant to my current life”?

What is your headcanon for the dokis’s family lives?

The only real canon we have is that Natsuki’s dad is overly strict, but how strict is a matter of contention.

Why does nobody talk abt how crazy it is that Arthur keeps a FRAMED PHOTOGRAPH of his EX on his nightstand

It wasn’t like it was tucked under Arthur’s pillow to look at when he was feeling particularly nostalgic like this was a STATEMENT everyone in camp knew he was wasn’t over Mary at alllllllllll! How many years had they been apart by 1899?

Also Jolene by Ray LaMontagne is the perfect song for these two… very good song listening right now

EDIT people are taking this post way too seriously man 💔
