Hey Lynchburg I have been growing a colony of Ukraine pied Isopods for some time now and have a bunch of juveniles ready to go to a new home! They are great in bioactive enclosures working as a clean up crew kinda like springtails do. They are fun to watch and can be an educational tool for young children and adults as well. They grow to about 1 inch big and pretty much take care of themselves. You can feed them premade isopod food or their favorite is cork bark and cattappa leaves. You can also feed them certain vegetables if you blanche them. You can get them 10 for 15$ or 2$ a piece 😍. I will also make sure you have a care guide and answer any questions you might have for setting up your bioactive enclosure or about the isopods themselves! One last thing these are not good feeder insects as they grow a hard shell. Ok thank you!!

Hello neighbors and fellow Lynchburg residents! This is a friendly reminder to please pick up your trash while you and your family are out enjoying the many nature areas we have here. It is a privilege that we are able to enjoy such beautiful nature areas like blackwater Creek trail, the James river, percivals island etc. To name a few . But if people keep littering and destroying the ecosystem there will be none of these pristine places for us to visit. We must show the utmost respect for our beautiful home planet. It's all we've got and we need to start taking better care of it. Breaks my heart to go down to one of these areas and see trash everywhere. I always bring a trash bag with me and try and leave the place cleaner than what I found it. It will take all of us doing our part to make a difference please and thank you for contributing and picking up your trash and keep in Lynchburg and Virginia one of the most beautiful places to live and see.!

So just when I thought the garbage human being known as Trump the traitorous couldn't get any dumber he began to show our farmers a chart comparing HEIGHT of the tallest skyscrapers to the LENGTH of the new reflecting pool that their tax payer dollars are going to pay for. Hey there this is me and my wife's 20 gallon community tank 😍. We started fishkeeping 2 years ago or so and have a total of 7 aquariums now and we couldn't be happier with it. We both have a new hobby that we love and desperately needed and have learned so much from the experience. Our old hobby was actual fishing catch and release and we both still have the urge to do it but now I am conflicted.... I know now that fish do feel pain and have emotions and I feel like I'd feel so bad once I actually had one on the hook again.. so I need help do I give up on my old hobby knowing what I know now? I still find myself wanting to go fishing until I actually think about it ya know? Figured I'd ask some other aquarists their opinion. Just for context we haven't been actual fishing in about 4 years well before we started fishkeeping. Ok thanks!
