Living Room update advice
I have no idea how to do this. If anyone has thoughts let me know! The second pic is what I came up with.

Finished this thing. V neck feels really cool. The frets are so nice. I learned a lot about guitars since June. Cheers to the folks on here offering their thoughts and prayers. This is a really great place!
I had an antique olive Strat and getting the 57 Vintage ii neck on Amazon. Does anyone use Amazon? Seems like an easy way to take a look and send it right back if there is an issue. And there are very limited options for a 7.5 Rosewood American neck.
I am new to Stratocasters. I tried a bunch of necks and wanted to try a soft V, which is practically impossible to find in Dallas. No Vintera and no classic 50s in the shops. Today I tried the Ultra 2 with zero research. I had not heard of it. It seems like the absolute best fender neck they have ever made for a line. I just need one in Maple so I can stop asking the guys to get the ladder at Guitar Center. I’m sure I’m really late to this party.
I love my Les Paul. Turning the tone knobs down always just makes the guitar sound like it has a cold. After all this time, I just turn them all up and only roll off a little bridge treble in the studio. Clean tone is a whole other story. Does anyone feel this way? Those knobs make it sound like it’s under a blanket.
Which one of these is obviously wrong? Notice the dot inlays matching the headstock.
Virtuoso cleaner and Nomad polish with microfiber cloths did a pretty good job with a lot of arm work. Thanks for the replies. I think you have to jump through hoops to add a photo.
I’m thinking these are the original frets. The bottom ones are looking like nuts. The action is so low you could not use a pick. If I put new frets on, I am worried it will be totally different. Should I leave this thing alone?
I used virtuoso on this. The neck looks gorgeous. But all the black is smudgy and blemished. I’ve seen a lot of great tips on here with scotch pads and such. I cleaned it off and tried to buff it with a microfiber cloth. Does anyone know a great way to make this thing look better?
I’m new to a Stratocaster in a band setting. The tremolo is a ridiculous design, and I imagine there are books written about why it’s good. It just seems crazy to have that on everything through the years, and you can barely find hard tails anywhere. If you have to take a block of wood to make an instrument work, (even God) they should’ve gone back to the drawing board at some point.
I had one and it was stolen. The neck was perfect. I can't seem to find these with the same name. It was mid-2000's. Are these called something else now?
I don’t know what model this is. The serial number, 842656, came back with those years, which I expected. There is a cable connection at the bottom, and a microphone connected to a loose wire inside. It does respond to an amp.
This is actual road worn. $500 in 1990. It’s my only real possession. And it makes my shoulder sore now.
I had a 9 gauge string detune and pop out of the tuner twice in one day. Bill Baker has a YT channel and I used his technique:
Use the whole string (insurance). Bend first, down the hole, wrap a lock on one of the posts and wind around under it once, then use the winder.
First try it worked! I have heard of toothpicks and sticking a V shape into the hole as well. Cheers to Bill!
This finish is not one of the normal options. Is this a refinish or a special order? From Guitar Center.
