Looking for someone to try out lots of the fantasy apps in the megathread

Hi!

Do YOU enjoy fantasy football?

Do YOU like trying new things?

Do YOU have too much free time?

Well I've got just the job^1 for you! We are looking for an actual human being to help curate all of the fantasy apps and tools we get here on the subreddit. All you'd need to do is check out some of the projects in the project showcase megathread and report back which ones are pretty good. Totally OK having multiple people, we just need a better system to sift through all of the fantasy projects out there.

Please leave a reply here or message me or mod mail directly. Thanks!

^1 This is not a real job because you won't get any compensation. Maybe a pathway to becoming a moderator here if you wanted more unpaid work. Great deal, right?

Rule Proposal - Allow 100% free sites/apps to be posted on the main subreddit

I know that we've had a deluge of sites and apps posted lately. As you can read in the state of the subreddit post, lots of new sites and apps get posted often, most offering the same functionality and overall design, but there are some diamonds in that rough. I want to avoid people using the site to market, which is happening right now. So this would be opening up the main subreddit only to 100% free sites/apps with absolutely no paid offerings. If paid offerings are added later (like microtransactions in video games can be), a site can be reported and then removed.

Do we want to try this, or just keep everyone posting in the project showcase, so people looking for new apps can look there?

An alternative would be to completely split the subreddit and have this sub just be entirely coding-based and no projects can be posted at all, while all sites/apps go to r/FantasyFootballApps with much less rules. Most people posting their sites/apps here post to 3-5 fantasy football subreddits at the same time anyway and clearly don't care that this is a coding subreddit and are just using it for marketing, with answering questions about tech just being an after-thought (or included in the description by Claude).

As the users of this subreddit reading this, please comment with your preference. I would also HIGHLY appreciate if you mention in your comment if you're also a creator with a site/app or if you're solely a user and not pushing anything yourself. I do want both opinions, but I'd really like a good feel for each group.

Thanks all and sorry for this headache!

Consolidated Feedback Megathread - What do you want in fantasy apps? What do you not care about?

I don't have a product to sell here, so I'm trying to come into this unbiased. We see this question asked a lot of people trying to advertise their products here, though. We also see people constantly complaining that all of these new projects look the same and feel the same and just generally offer the same experience.

Please use this thread to just give your general opinions on what you like to see in fantasy apps and what you simply don't care about.

[Megathread] Project Showcase - Post all projects and products here! (July 2026)

It's clear that this subreddit is becoming an advertising platform for all these hot new tools people are building. With how much it is increasing in the last week and how much more will come as we get closer to football season, I've created this megathread to contain them all.

This thread is for both paid and free sites/apps/tools/etc. I'm sorry to those of you with completely free tools that you want to share with the community getting bunched up here, but it's to prevent Trojan Horse situations trying to get through the rules by sharing a free project that just so happens to have a premium tier or getting one added later.

When posting your project, please use this format:

Site/App Name, e.g. FantasyPros
Site/App Link, e.g. https://www.fantasypros.com/
Cost, choose one of Free, Free with Paid Tier, and Paid

Site/App description and details

Here's a quick summary of what we expect for the cost type chosen:

  • Free - completely free with no paid offerings, can include advertising, can require account creation

  • Free with paid tiers - has a usable free level of access for all users, with paid access for more features

  • Paid - either a one-time or recurring payment required to use the app/site at all

This thread will be recreated at the beginning of every month to ensure fresh visibility. You can re-post projects in each monthly thread, but please try to highlight new features if you do.

All other projects and products posted as new posts, even those "just wanting feedback" or that are completely free, will be removed. Thanks all. If you want to DISCUSS this change, please direct that discussion to the State of the Subreddit: AI and Vibe Coding post.

State of the Subreddit: AI and Vibe Coding

Hi all. I think it's very clear that a ton of AI projects have taken over the sub lately and I wanted to address them and what this looks like going forward. I'm going to write this in two parts: one for the coders and one for the general users.

For Coders

  1. I am genuinely happy for all of you that many of you are able to realize your ideas more easily with the rise of AI tooling. It's always frustrating to have an idea but need investment, whether through money or time, from others to bring that idea to life. Coding has never been easier.

  2. With fewer barriers to entry lately, most people new to the scene have been coding the exact same thing as everyone else. The users here will see through that and see that either NO EFFORT was put into something and it was built using AI to make a quick buck OR that NO VALUE is present since it's the same as every other tool. They will downvote a ton because of that.

  3. I'm not trying to discourage AI coding at all, but what I am saying is to be very intentional about it. Check other tools and apps and see what you can offer that isn't offered by other tools or that can be improved significantly, ESPECIALLY if you want to add a premium tier. Otherwise, you're just wasting your time.

  4. When building something, please try to take the time to learn how it works and how it was made, even if AI is doing the heavy lifting. This subreddit is geared toward education and you can learn a lot about systems, technology, and coding, even if AI tooling is doing most of the work for you. Try to take something away from these experiences that are permanent.

For Users

  1. Try to judge projects in a vacuum. Even if they seem heavily vibe coded, some may offer unique features that are actually helpful, and we should encourage builders who are doing things like that. But if the project offers nothing new and looks low effort, also feel free to downvote and comment that sentiment as well. Similarly, if you see a project that offers something that other projects don't and is actually valuable, try to celebrate those projects and encourage them.

  2. Almost all software engineers are using AI at some level in their work for productivity. It's delusional to expect zero AI work in every single project these days. Just please keep that in mind when judging projects.

  3. There genuinely are a lot of great ideas out there that are waiting to be implemented. Because of that, we will not be making any rules changes to the subreddit right now for AI content. However, the problem will probably get much worse as we get closer to the football season, and we can adjust if needed. Feel free to drop ideas in the comments for what that would look like. It's clear that we are being overrun by people who want to show off vibe coded projects a lot to sell premium tiers to make a quick buck without providing a lot of actual value. A lot of people are obviously using this subreddit as just an advertising platform, but how do we fix that without discouraging legitimate and intentional projects?

Thanks all for listening and please try to remain civil here. AI is transformational and we are going through the growing pains right now. Feel free to discuss further.

Are there any aggregated resources for draft rankings?

I know that FantasyPros exist but they also limit some of their data behind the paywall and don't include all experts. For example, I don't think Justin Boone is on FP.

As far as I'm aware, these lists are generally publicly available. But is there a page or site or doc that helps me see all big name experts' picks in one view that's hopefully updated often?

Thanks!

What are the best videos to introduce new people to fantasy football?

Hi, I run a few leagues and some of them are pretty casual, like family and work leagues. They'll get new members that have never played fantasy football before. I wanted to make a video to get them introduced to how it all works, but ain't nobody got time for that, and it's probably been done a lot (and better) before already.

Does anyone have any good videos for complete beginners to set them up on how exactly fantasy football works, plus how to navigate the apps/sites? (ESPN preferred, but Sleeper is fine, too)

I feel like this might be something other people are interested, too, so a repository of videos here seems helpful. Thanks!

Is there a way to queue uploads to ps5upload as resume instead of overwrite?

I know you can click Upload to choose Resume for the first upload, but I don't think it works for additionally queued uploads and there doesn't seem to be an option to change the upload mode after queued.

Unable to install or load packages (PS4 or PS5)

Hi all, new to PS5 jailbreaking (obviously).

I'm on 12.00. I used Y2JB+P2JB to unpatch my BD. I got a BD-JB autoloader disc from someone. I restored my own backup after unpatching BD.

I can run the BD-JB autoloader and get payload manager and install and run payloads. However, when using ps5upload, I can upload files, but nothing will install (PS4) or load (PS5).

For PS4 packages, when I upload, it finishes, then when I click Install, it seems to crash, as it says the machine refuses the connection and it also disconnects ps5upload. Based on this, I'm guessing the ps5upload server crashes when trying to install. The logs says read frame header: failed to fill whole buffer and I don't know what that means. I suspected a bad header from a bad pkg file, but I've tried multiple.

For PS5, I tried an ffpkg and ShadowMountPlus fails to load it when scanning and says invalid argument with an x00000016 error.

When loading payload manager, I'm loading kstuff lite before running the ps5upload payload. I've tried with both 1.06 and 1.05 kstuff lite and both give the same behavior. The BD-JB autoloader shows BD-J Poopsploit 1.4 while loading as the poopsploit version.

Any ideas what could be causing this? Am I missing an important part of the chain? Is 1.4 not compatible with 12.00? Thanks!

Blu-ray disc source online

Hi, I don't have a blu-ray burner and it seems a bit much to buy one just for the exploit. Does anybody have a good source for one online? I looked around but most are for older firmware versions (I'm on 12.00). I would guess I need one specific to 12.00? Anything I should look for? (I'll be using it with P2JB+Y2JB.)

Curious if they know something we don't!

Nothing too exciting for me so far. Chris Bell and Max Klare at 2.05 and 2.06 seemed a little early, but nothing crazy. Sleeper still has Mike Washington pretty high and he isn't going there. But otherwise my leagues seem to be following Sleeper rankings relatively closely. I'm a bit surprised that Sadiq and Makai are still going so high.
