Restaurant recommendations needed!

I'm hosting a group of about 15 people for a late brunch/early lunch. Aside from being able to accommodate a group of that size, I need a restaurant that's reasonably priced (no more than $20-30 per person, not including alcohol). Ideally, the restaurant would be east west, northeast northwest, or north of the city. Anywhere between Ellicott City and Timonium. Thanks!

Closet in historic condos

I put the finishing touches on this one today. Fun project. Second time working for this client. It’s all maple lumbercore plywood with 1/8-inch edge banding to allow for a 1/16-inch chamfer. Painted a custom shade of white to match the apartment’s existing trim.

I liked the addition of pull-out drawers at the base of the closet. We all know things are going to accumulate there, why not lean into it. (I didn’t design this, not a self-compliment.)

Thanks for hosting from an Orioles fan!

Hi Reds fans! My wife and I were in town last weekend for the Orioles series and I wanted to thank this sub in particular for all of the helpful and friendly advice.

Here's our highly subjective feedback on the advice of the many past "we're coming from out of town" posts that I read leading up to our visit:

  • Graeter’s ice cream: delicious! could not be overhyped.
  • LaRosa's pizza: fairly typical ballpark pizza until you get to the pepperoni. Nice and crispy and the whole top is covered.
  • Skyline chili: I couldn't bring myself to do this one in 90 degree weather. Maybe if we were here for a Bengals game instead. Sorry.
  • Reds Hall of Fame and Museum: I'm really jealous of this. The Orioles have nothing like it and I really wish they did. Well worth the $15.
  • GABP: wonderful stadium. Excellent take on the retro modern. I especially appreciated the open concourse where you can still catch the game live if you're in the right line. Wish you had vendors in the stands, but otherwise A+ all around.

We didn't see much of Cincinnati or northern Kentucky. We were mostly focused on relaxing and seeing the games. But I did get a chance to try some goetta. I'm a fan! Baltimore has a pork version called scrapple. Try it if you're ever out our way.

Thanks again!
