Diamond art accessories

I love to try out diamond art accessories. This little wrist saver works! So does the round gripper my tray is on. It is really a jar opener.

Here I go! My largest attempt!

Day one. This one is 150x60cm/59.06 x 23.62. Wish me luck!
I love that it is so bright and colorful, and yet it only has 26 colors. It doesn’t look like it has a ton of graffiti. I use grid rulers and I multiplace, so hopefully that will make it go faster. I will be adding some replacement sparkly dots. I guess they are called AB drills, or may be called crystal or rhinestone drills.

I was not happy with Mr. rabbit! I had to try to fix him.

The original is the third picture. If you look at the second one, you can see that his head was turned a little, so his left eye looks funny and he looks like he doesn’t have a cheek. I attempted to fix him the best I could. There were other problems too, such as the shadows were all done in black drills and everything looked funny, like his best was barely there. So I turned a lot of of the black drills into red. I will watch out for shadows and things like that, the next time I pick out a painting to do!

I love convex trays! They make lining up the drill lines so easy. Also picking them up is easier for multiplacing and single placing. Amazon has an amazing deal on them right now. They are only $25 for 60 small trays and 11 huge trays! The small trays are very small, but I’ve gotten used to them. If I have a bag when I’m kitting up that has too many drills for the little tray, I just put the whole bag in the tray and then shake out what I need a little at a time. Works out great. The latches are really tight, so I open them up first, and hold the top while I line them up, so that opening up doesn’t get them out of line. I’m going to try to attach the link. If I can’t, just look up convex diamond art trays.

Sorry! I didn’t post the photo and now it won’t let me.

I sold it to a nice lady who got it for a Mother’s Day present! I got all kinds of hello my last post for trying to sell a finished diamond art at an Arts & Crafts event. I was simply curious to see if there was a market. Most say there isn’t, and I tend to agree, but not for the same reasons. Apparently, many think it is not art and not even a handmade craft, but simply an activity like working a puzzle. They don’t think much of the finished product. I understand that the process is for mental health and fun. A lot of us are even addicted to the process or collecting kits. My addiction is buying supplies. I think the process is a craft, and the finished product is art. Although I did not “make” it - it was made by a machine, I put all those thousands of drills on it. That should count for something. I wasn’t trying to make profit for myself which I was accused of doing. People said that there was no skill level and even a child could do it. But then, turn around and make fun of my skill level. I did it a year or so ago before I became really good at it, so my lines are not great. I’m sorry some think they are tacky and would never hang them in their house, or be so rude as to give them as gifts. Thanks for listening to my rant. I know many were just giving a valid opinion or advice, but I was surprised at how many voted me down for my replies trying to explain myself. I got like 50 downvotes on one comment, and a dozen more in other places. Thanks a lot! But I do want to thank the ones that supported my opinions. I sorry they got downvoted too! I was going to quit this sub, but as one person said, I won’t let them take my SPARKLE away!
