I'll be doing an exchange semester at Tampere University in Electrical Engineering from January to May, and I'd love to transition right into a summer internship afterwards.

I've heard that the job market in Finland is pretty tough right now, but do you guys have any tips on how to secure a summer internship? Would looking into Sweden be a good backup plan? Also, what are the best platforms or websites to find these summer internship programs?

Hi everyone! I'll be joining Tampere University as an exchange student for the upcoming Spring semester from January to May, and I'm currently looking into TOAS housing options. I'll be spending my time at the Hervanta campus and would love some advice on the area. First, I would like to know if it's actually realistic to get a furnished studio for just this single semester, as I know the demand can be quite high. Additionally, I'm curious about which TOAS buildings are considered the best to live in around Hervanta in terms of facilities, convenience, or overall vibe. Any tips, personal experiences, or general advice for a new international student would be hugely appreciated. Kiitos!

I’m trying to decide between ICAM Strasbourg (France) and Tampere University (Finland) for a one-semester exchange mobility in Electrical Engineering from January to July.
I would love to hear your suggestions, thoughts, or past experiences with either university, the engineering coursework, student life, or the cities themselves.
Going to Finland means facing the peak of Nordic winter, but it feels like a unique, once-in-a-lifetime experience. On the other hand, Strasbourg is an incredible, historic city right in the heart of Europe.
