help me with the names of bus stops in guwahati

hello, can anyone help me by naming out all the bus stops (preferably marking in the map too) stretching from paltanbazar to khanapara. like if one travels from paltanbazar to khanapara, what are the names of bus stops so i can pretend to be a local and not get scammed.

Bankers of Guwahati (or anywhere in assam)

the experience differ a little from rest of the country, so i’d like to know more, specifically from my state. here are some queries i had:

• how’s life?

• how do you manage the work life and personal life?

• at what time do you leave the branch? if you stay till day end, when does it end?

• if you worked in both rural and city branches, what is the difference in terms of workload?

• is the guwahati circle more crazier than the rest?

• officers specifically, do share your experience in this sector.

what job is ACTUALLY good?

right now I’m a management trainee so i don’t have any real responsibility yet but i see my seniors, scale 1 to scale 4, on average they end the day at 7:30 - 8:00 pm. and that will be my future soon. i see the clerical staff leaving at 5 pm. and i sometimes wonder if i am going through the “grass is greener on the other side” phase. I cracked the clerk exam too but i chose po because frankly ✨money✨ and sometimes i think about if i should have chosen clerical cadre.

i have like 6 years left for most exams (age limit) so i can always keep trying for other sectors but i only cracked these exams because i was unemployed and had lots of time to study. i am an average student so this privilege of having time and supportive parents that can provide for the family really helped me crack the exams. but now, i just do not have time anymore. i can’t seem to find the motivation to study on the weekends. and it scares me, what if i’m stuck here with this job?

tbh the work i’m doing right now is not that hectic to me. i’m mostly doing clerical work right now so maybe i don’t feel that stress yet. but i fear the future and how things might change for worse.

the thing is i’m not interested in doing mba, corporate, phd or going into academics. i don’t know what jobs should i try for next? ssc cgl, perhaps? other central govt jobs? how is the insurance sector like lic aao etc? i would love to hear reviews about these jobs if you are working in it right now.

this is for bank employees

so i accidentally edited the og post to include the telegram link and my post got removed so i posted again.

i made a telegram group for bank employees so that if there’s any work related doubt or vent, we can share with each other and get some guidance from experienced bank employees especially if there’s some small doubts you don’t want to bother your seniors with.

if you’re interested, you can either dm me or refer to the link i’ve written below in a way to bypass reddit filters.

ps. this gc will not be for aspirants asking for strategy, we have enough strategy and other doubts getting answered here in this sub. this is strictly for work related stuff.

🔗 the invite link is -

t[dot]me[slash]indianbankemployees

i’m writing it like that cause reddit doesn’t allow telegram links to be sent and i accidentally put the link in the og post and it got removed so i posted again.

salary slip of a newly joined PO

a little encouragement for the people.

i know there’s a stigma about bank jobs, so i’m just gonna say that i can’t comment on how the banking sector is with just one month of me working. i like to form my opinion based on what i face.

so if there’s any question regarding the work-life so far, feel free to ask.

as samay raina said, “detach and do it”

if money is your goal, then always be ready to face whatever hardships you may come across but not to the point that it gets unfair. the moment it gets ugly that is humanely not possible to fight back, you leave. there is always something in life for you.

if your comfort and passion is your end goal, you can always use banking jobs as a stepping stone and work for your passion. achieve that.

life is not easy. you just have to know how to handle it. sadly, you have to pick your own poison. throw away all your expectations and preconceived notions and just raw dog this shit called “life”.

good luck, aspirants!

newly selected po and clerks alike, pls share the gist of your training schedule.

pnb po’s schedule is -

3 weeks classroom training.
18 weeks in branches and back offices.
4 weeks classroom training.
25 weeks in various departments of branches.
final 2 weeks training back in staff centres.
1 year probation in a branch.
full fledged employee.

sometimes it feels like i should have chosen sbi clerk. but if i think hard, it’s not the job title and work that comes with it but it’s the expansion of the branch, its customer base and the place it’s located in.

smaller rural banks with 5 employees are better than big cities branch with 20 employees from what i’ve observed. also the branch manager or someone bigger overseeing the office matters a lot. that person’s behaviour affects the environment a lot.

and honestly, the transfer policy of sending managers to places that they don’t know the language of the majority of the employees and customers doesn’t make sense to me. the communication and cultural bonding gets abysmal.

this is just my observation as a trainee officer. My branch has like 20 employees and manages lots of big city work. the clerks leave at 5:00-5:15. but i have no work as a trainee so i leave at 5:30. but the officers (my future) idk when they leave 😭 possibly 7 or 8 pm.

also from my pov, the work seems tiring and repetitive on clerk level. and in officer, it’s stressful with manager on your neck at all times.

anyways, i’m feeling a lot of things right now, idk if i like this job right now but i’ll cross that bridge when it comes to it.

THE MOTTO OF THIS RANT IS “THE GRASS IS ALWAYS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE”

so far, the work i’m learning seems interesting to me. let’s see what i learn more. any new officers and clerks, share your experience too.
