Advice on microphone choice and placement - Live Session with audience

I am recording an Arabic ensemble during a live session where there will be an audience present. I would highly appreciate some advice and feedback on microphone placement and choice. I have created these two microphone stage plans, where the main difference is switching up the vocal mic for a M/S stereo mic, placed a bit further back (in the Tiny Desk vein):

The instruments playing will be Oud, Qanun, Nay and Iqaa (percussions, mainly Riq and Darbuka). As you see from the stage plan, they will be set around the singer in a half-circle, and their placement cannot be changed since this is how they always perform.

The singer will be sat but told me that she may stand up, though she could stay sat for the whole performance.

The microphones in my stage plan come from the ones I know I definitely will have access to: a couple of Line Audio CM4 SDC, a couple of Rode NT5, a TLM103, and a Shure SM57. I can rent more microphones, mainly the DPA 4099 for the Oud (I think clip on is the best idea?), and the vocal or M/S microphone (maybe the famous MKH418?).

Thank you for your help.

Organise bounced files

I found a post on the sub from 5y ago where it was mentioned that there was no solution to the automatic bounce location, and I couldn’t find any discussion about it anywhere else - apologies if this has an easy fix I missed.

I am coming over from Pro Tools, where when bouncing a project, PT automatically creates a “Bounces” folder and suggests that location for the bounce (if such option is selected in the bounce dialog). In Ableton, every time I bounce the project, I am automatically greeted with the last location I bounced a different project, which forces me to have to look for that specific Project folder. Not only that but I like to create a “Bounces” folder to keep audio and als files separated.

Does anyone have a better way of going about this ?
Thank you

Spotify Comparison and Boycott question

After being on Spotify for 11 years, this week, I got a trial at the following streaming platforms: Apple Music, Youtube Music, Tidal, Deezer, Qobuz. I also paid a 1 month subscription to Soundiiz and transferred my liked songs from Spotify to all platforms. Everything went well, apart from Qobuz: I know that it is the most ethical platform of all, but a big part of my music catalog simply doesn't exist there.

For already known reasons, the other ones in the list are not better than Spotify. The only one I would consider could be Youtube Music, since I unfortunately need to use YouTube and Gmail for work and don't have a choice, I thought at least I am not paying another boycotted third party (Spotify) for music.

However, after Spotify's CEO Daniel Ek's stepping down, would you reconsider boycotting Spotify (in the context of their alternatives) ?

At this rate, I will probably go the Plex/Jellyfin way from my NAS and Soulseek. However I was curious about your thoughts regarding Spotify's CEO stepping down

Apologies if this is not the right sub for the question! And sorry in advance if this is an absurd scenario, I am a studio producer and have never performed live before.

I am due to perform on a fairly big stage with the singer I produce. I would be sending backing tracks from my laptop to FOH, and she would be singing. Ideally, she would send me her mic feed, I pass it through Auto-Tune which would be adapted to the key of the song, and send that to FOH with the track.

The benefit of using Pro Tools in my situation is that I have a Carbon audio interface, which means DSP offloading on it, notably Antares Hybrid. It is also a software I know inside and out and would therefore be quite easy for me to set-up all the outputs, cue mixes for her and me, click track, etc...

I would appreciate any opinion on using Pro Tools for a live show, or anyone with experience doing it ! I would also greatly appreciate some alternatives.
