Using only the fixed, published dimensions of the Jeep visible in the frame — whose front end establishes the camera angle and whose circular tire must therefore appear ~0.94 wide-to-tall rather than the impossible 0.48 shown — the image was uniformly widened by the single factor (×1.95) that restores the tire to a geometrically correct shape, thereby restoring every object in the frame, including the person, to true proportion.

I thought it would be useful to map out what I have in mind for modding the BP 6542. The above shows 1) the base watch, 2) the custom insert I'm working on (52 orders), a dial I've designed (not final whatsoever, done quickly to show the effect), (4)aged hands, (5) an upgraded roulette DWO and (6)the result. I should mention that shaving a mm or so off the case back is entirely possible and gets you around gen spec case thickness.

Timeline

1. I have designed the bakelite inserts (have a phong sample as well), and am negotiating the best possible terms. Expect 2 months.
2. A BP base 6542 (around $250).
3. An upgraded dial to be made (a rough, quick idea I've created). Will work on this soon to finalize. (price TBD - hand lumed)
4. Upgraded DWO overlay ($20)
5. The DIY components - age hands, shave caseback.

The goal is to have a very nice, relatively high end 6542 for $500-600.
