Has anyone else noticed the random silver CD’s in the neighborhood in the high 60s? They were on every stoops and corners with a random URL written on them. What is this?

I’m considering Central Park Boathouse for my wedding and I wanted to see if anyone else has gotten married with with a similar guest count. My guest count is 200 which is their max capacity. If you had similar, did it feel crowded? Did it feel like enough room for a dance floor area with a band?

Hi all! After my post last week and the amazing recommendations I got for venues I toured for a Fall 2027 wedding in NYC, I am torn between 2 venues.

Would love to hear peoples experiences at either or if anyone else was between the 2 and what swayed them. They are both coming out to be around the same cost for a Saturday.

1. Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers (have a soft hold in October)

- question on what the flow was like between ceremony, cocktail & reception with the use of the large curtains? It’s suchhh a big space but I’m curious how it feels separate

- Food looked amazing from pics, how was it actually?

- Guest experience getting in and out of Chelsea piers, feel like it could be complicated

2. Tribeca Rooftop (only date that have available is in November

- I’m wondering if anyone else had theirs then and was able to use the rooftop (concerned about cold weather ) if you had ceremony inside did you feel like it was a waste not being able to use the rooftop?

- what was the food like? Their options are way more than a lot of other vendors

- Did it feel weird that another wedding was happening downstairs at Tribeca 360?

Hi all! I’m in the middle of my venue search and am definitely getting sticker shock. My guest count is 200 people for Fall 2027in NYC. My question is, is it possible to have that many people at a venue in the city (BK & LIC also) under $100k just for the venue/F&B. With the quotes I’ve been getting (Box House, Vesper, Gustavinos, Boat House, William Vale) it’s not seeming possible!

All of the per head rates I’m seeing are not the real numbers once you want to add it more than 1 action station and having only 1 for 200 guests is not enough! So many have high mandatory AV costs. Thanks in advance for any recos!

Hi all! Has anyone had a wedding or attended a wedding at Vesper? It’s pretty new and they said they’ve only done 25 weddings so far since opening in June 2025. I recently toured the venue and loved it and want to know what people thought of the food, the acoustics, space and overall flow!

I am looking for a non traditional venue (i,e no ballroom) maybe something a little more unique, maybe a restaurant but I would still want a band. Guest count is 175-200 guests (still trying to narrow down headcount with families) and budget of $150k~. I'm looking in the NYC, Brooklyn and potentially Hudson Valley region. Aiming for Fall 2027

I know I can use the Knot, Zola, google etc but I wanted to see if anyone had any similar parameters and has recommendations from expereience, etc!. Thanks!

Hi all! I’m a new member to the W67th location and in the 2 weeks I’ve been a member, the AC has been broken in the spin studio and Pilates room to the point where classes were cancelled. I had to leave the spin class this morning early because it was honestly unsafe conditions. I asked the instructor how often this happens & her reply was for “10 years” and I asked 2 employees complaining about it and no one has answers. We pay a lot of money for no AC!

Is this a constant problem?

Hi all! I’m looking for a good trustworthytailor to hem a pants. I’m in the high 60s & broadway. I went to Alts they ripped me off, Tower West Cleaners messed up a dress (which they then fixed!) and Master Tailor, great but has a long wait time. Thanks in advance!
