I don’t want to meet the person who can get through s4e13 without ugly crying

I just rewatched this episode for like the 5th time and I’m still just beside myself every time. When Eliot takes out the peach I just can’t.

Also, totally amazed that this wasn’t ranked as a top episode on IMDB. This is a top 3 for me. ✨

The long road home

This is my first time “painting” with embroidery thread… I’m sure there is a more technical term for this. I am happy with how it came out.

Turmeric sunprint II

I posted the other day about a print method I had never tried before. I made an ink out of turmeric and then placed flowers over the paper, let it sit in the sun, gave it a bath in baking soda, and then let it dry. Today I tried the same process with a black and white printed image. I am over the moon with how they came out. I had no idea how well the details would carry over. I highly recommend trying this out ☀️✨

First time sun printing with turmeric

My son and I spent the morning making sun prints. I think the last photo has my 2 favorites. Will try again for sure.

“But I thought you loved me?”

Every morning I sit in a swivel chair in my 3 season porch. Dog in my lap, book in hand, coffee at my side. It’s very pleasant, until someone has the audacity to walk by the house. Yesterday, as an old lady walked by, Doug jumped off my lap so fast he spun the swivel chair so fast that it knocked my coffee over into my books. Now Douglas isn’t allowed on my lap in this chair… and he’s trying to make me feel bad. But I don’t. Really. I don’t feel bad at all. 🫣 goddam it why are they so cute!?

Just two pieces of garbage.

My late grandmother had this old work bench that she got out of the trash when a trade school near her was renovating. She grabbed this in the 50’s. Brought it back to her house, cleaned it up, and used it as an end table until she passed away 2 years ago. I always loved it so I brought it home when she passed. About 3 years ago I found this little shelf thing in someone’s trash. I hadn’t really done anything with it but I really liked it so I couldn’t get rid of it. Today I realized that the nicknack shelf slides perfectly into the back of this work bench. I am beside myself with excitement and I just wish my grandmother could see it cause I know she would love it. 💖✨

Best Earthbound fan gift

Help a girl out. I have an incredible husband who is a huge Earthbound fan. He has the games and vinyl record of the soundtrack. His birthday is coming up and I need birthday gift ideas. He is hard to buy for because he buys a lot of the things he’s interested in. So are there any suggestions of like obscure artwork or collectors items within the fandom I should look for?
