Why DSA Keeps Winning Episode

That was a good pre requisite episode explaining the DSA. The thing that stuck out to me was the presenter saying I'm not a Communist... it seems like they haven't learned many lessons in 'wedges' concerning politics. Basically, disavowed communism for funsies? Or is this their new strategy?

We've seen a few 'wedges' (trans and hamas come to mind) here recently where American Democrats just play right into their political oppositions hand, seemingly for funsies. I hope their leadership is thinking about the aforementioned.

Rocky Adkins to announce run for Kentucky governor

IMO this is the one Dem in KY that can win a State wide race. It really doesn't matter much because of the super majority in the State Houses but it's 'something' 🤷‍♂️

After the Trump DOJ Halted Police Reform, This City Stepped In. Then Officers Shot and Killed Katelyn Hall.

*Reporting Highlights

City Commitment: Louisville, Kentucky, adopted its own police reform plan last year after the Justice Department walked away from a consent decree that mandated changes.

A Test Case in the Trump Era: The local initiative is being watched as a test for how effectively a city can overhaul its police department without federal oversight.

Slow Progress on Mental Health: A panel is reviewing how police approach mental health calls, but some activists are criticizing the pace of reform after officers killed a young woman in crisis.

RE: Neighborhood meeting for a proposed change in zoning from R-7 to C-2 to allow a grocery store, retail, and 4 outlots for future development all located at 4700 S. Hurstbourne Pkwy

Dear Neighbor:

We are writing to invite you to a neighborhood meeting to present our zone change plan for a 54,948 sf grocery store and 24,900 sf of retail space, along with 4 outlots for future development on the above referenced property.

This specific site was part of a larger tract previously rezoned in 2023 for a 360-multifamily apartment community with case number 22-ZONE-0012. Accordingly, a plan was filed for pre-application review with the Office of Planning that was assigned case number, 26-ZONEPA-0052 and case manager Kaitlin Dever. There will be two access points on S. Hurstbourne Parkway. We would like to show and explain this plan to neighbors so that we might hear what thoughts, issues and concerns you may have.

In that regard, a meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Fern Creek Community Association and Chamber of Commerce located at 6104 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky.

Enclosed for your review are the following:
