Went to get coffee and couldn't stop taking photos! I actually went out to video but the photos were so good i couldn't resist switching over to photo mode constantly haha. Photos are unedited straight from the device. Filter is cinematic on medium mode. Ev -0.3. Superphoto mode 4:3
i’m kinda in between fpv-v mode and roll lock mode. i like
fpv-v mode though because it gives you more of a traditional camera feel. roll lock is pretty constricted with up and down movements, naturally. which do you guys use and why?
on the luna ultra, for what i’m just going to call picture profiles, there is the option to shoot in standard picture profile or i-log when using filters. if shooting i-log, these looks would be baked into the image, same as in standard. is there a benefit to shooting with a filter & i-log together? Or is it redundant? Want to know your guys’ workflows when using some of the great leica filters on this camera.
i have some questions regarding some settings. 1 should you calibrate your gimbal after getting your luna ultra? 2. what does the lens defog setting do? what does it do if you’re in i-log mode and you also apply a filter to it (ie cinematic). is it just like a preview lut? is dolby vision mode just HDR mode?
my luna ultra came with this little micro foam looking piece that would seem to be something for a mic, but there is nowhere to put it. it came in a little plastic bag. anybody know what it does or how to use it? also, does anybody know how to take off the wind cover from the luna?
started playing seriously for a year now, looking for critiques. still couldn’t end any of these tricks with a jug to spike (been my biggest struggle). can only 1tap jug 60% of the time. this clip does not demonstrate all my skills but if you want to see more check out my instagram @jp.dama2
idk why but the lens hood makes the device feel so clunky and bulky. ran it without the lens hood today, felt much better.
basic editing done in lightroom with the main focus being retaining highlights in the sky
wide mode is very distorted on the m1, nevermind superview. looking for a technical answer.
you can tell that the camera is only "sharp" at medium distance. the minimum focus distance is pretty far realistically, and infinity isn't really infinity. (shot on mission 1 base on iso low, 50mp, standard (not raw), medium sharpness, cinematic color). My testing on all modes were similar.
took this symmetry photo using the in-camera cozy filter on my iphone. what do u guys think?
Hey guys, so I need some help/recommendations. I’ve been vlogging my vacation in a tropical location and have been using my camera in and out of water just fine. I took it snorkeling, to the beach, pool, etc. For whatever reason, today I went to a beach in Hana and was filming in the water and knew for sure that both doors of the camera were completely closed (and it also had a cage on it) the camera suddenly shut off. I figured it was dead but was confused because I had around 60% battery left. So I put it down, and then when I went back home it wouldn’t charge, so I was confused. In a dry location, I opened the latches to check, and I saw that all inside the battery door latch was moist, and the battery itself had a cover of moisture on it. Somehow, water got in this waterproof camera during my trip today, which does not make sense, and now it does not work. When I initially tried to power it back on when I got to the car I noticed it was shorting (see video) so I immediately stopped and removed the battery. I am very worried I am going to lose the last 2 days of footage I took (internal storage), but I am within my 30-day Amazon return window. What do you guys think I should do? Any recommendations?
