Bloating

Has anyone found anything to help with bloating? I feel like it's the progesterone because my dose went up to 200 from 100mg. It's been a few weeks on this but the bloating is awful now and has been for a few days. I'm also in my luteal phase, 5 days or so late for my period. This sucks.

Feel stuck

My period is late by about a week which is nothing in peri. But I feel like I am stuck in PMS mode. Like it won't let up until my period starts. I've been having fairly regular periods. Never skipped more than a couple of months so far. I wish it would either come when it's supposed to or stop completely because I am over this.

I'm so tired

Why do I need a nap everyday now? I have never been one who takes naps because usually I am not that tired where I feel like I must lay down and sleep even for a half hour. But lately I have taken a nap everyday after work for an hour. I'm finally to the point where I don't feel guilty about it! But being exhausted is a symptom of perimenopause. Hormone fluctuations can really be rough during this time. So I say if I need a nap then I am getting a nap. Some might not have the option when they really need it but take little rest breaks. Do anything you can to rest and don't feel bad about it!

Job struggles

Why does perimenopause make everything I do at work get seen in a whole new light? Ive been working in dog rescue for over 7 years. I have 3 people who work under me and I've noticed all of their flaws lately. I Love them all we have a good working relationship or so I thought but lately I feel so unseen and unheard by these people! They won't do what I say. In one ear and out the other. The sad part is I think it's always been this way for years and now I am starting to really notice it and feel really pissed off and disrespected. I want to quit or step down and let someone else do it. I'm so close to saying "I'm done" and just starting over somewhere new. There have been a lot of changes at my job and being in perimenopause has made these changes feel impossible for me when I have been doing my job the same way for over 6 years now and all of the sudden...changes! My resilience is very low and tolerance for people who don't respect me is even lower. I'm so tired...too tired to even demand respect. 😞

Why

I wake up every morning feeling awful for about the first few hours that I'm up. I feel angry I feel anxious I have mood swings. This is every morning. I'm on HRT. Had the dose adjusted a few times already. The doctors don't seem to know how to help. Don't get me wrong I have good days but I'm sick of waking up feeling like this and then going to work feeling the same way for at least a couple hours. I am by myself at work with no one else there for a couple of hours a lot of times I just cry my way through it. By thetime everyone gets there I start feeling better or at least good enough to fake it in front of people. But I also have anxiety about driving and I drive an hour one way to get to work I have for years and it's never bothered me but now I get so anxious and I just feel like I can't do it anymore. I took time off of work about 5 days and those days were much better. But I can't not work right now.

So everything is just screwed up. I feel like it's never going to get better. I have a very supportive husband but sometimes even with all his support he really gets on my nerves and then I feel terrible for treating him the way that I do. All he ever tells me is that he's there for me but I can't be there for him the way that I want to. I guess I'm just looking for people that understand. Has anyone else experienced this thing waking up and feeling this awful? I figure I'm not the only one. I appreciate people in this group being so supportive.

Something fun

Tell me you're in perimenopause without telling me you're in perimenopause. For me it's "I just looked in the toilet after using the restroom and said oh God what is that!"

Support

Would anyone in this group be interested in setting up a group chat where we can text each other and support each other through all of this mess? Lol I have telegram but I'm willing to download Whatsapp because I've heard a lot of people mention it. Just thought I would ask. I'd like to keep it smaller.with just 5 people or so. Unless others would be interested.

Over it

I'm 44 will be 45 in a few months. I've been in perimenopause for two years which sounds like such a short time. But I feel like I should be turning 50 and not 45. I don't want to write a huge post telling my whole story would be pages long and it's only been TWO years. I'm on HRT and the adjustment period is killing me and I started on a low dose and have increased it a couple of times since. So for several months I've been up and down a lot more than stable. I told my husband I can't do this and I meant it.

HRT increase

How do it know if I'm on too high of a dose of estrogen and progesterone HRT? I recently increased my dose on both estrogen gel and progesterone capsules but I'm having awful anxiety/internal vibrations so I'm thinking maybe the dose is too high? Or maybe not long enough of an adjustment time? Only been a couple weeks and I know that's not long but will this anxiety pass? I don't want to keep experiencing this thinking it will level out and then it never does. Messaged my doctor just haven't heard back yet. Anyone have any thoughts on this or experience with this?

Vaginal vs Oral Progesterone

I take 200 mg of prometrium vaginally as capsules. My doctor says with PMDD I have a really bad sensitivity to progesterone and when I tried taking it orally it was a nightmare. PMDD x 100!! Vaginally I don't have those severe symptoms. I'm just wondering if anyone takes it vaginally and if so do you have symptoms? I have anxiety really bad after a dose increase. Didn't know if it is related to the increase or not.

Need monorail pieces

I'm playing project Springfield and I love it! Thanks to whoever made this. My question is how can I get monorail pieces and boardwalk pieces quicker? I have to wait for the boardwalk pieces and get them one at a time. Is there another way? Thanks.

Divigel causes activation

Has anyone else used divigel estrogen and had nervous system activation from it? I take it before bed and when I lay down I get internal vibrations and just feel like I have to move as well as a heavy feeling on my chest. My doc thinks it's justy anxiety but it happens every night after applying the med. I can't sleep without an benadryl but now I use l theinine and it has helped so much with relaxing these feelings. I still get them but they are mild and I can sleep.

PMDD in peri

How can I manage horrible PMDD symptoms that have gotten so much worse in peri!? Especially when my periods are changing and not regular anymore. I can't even track it. I just know that when I become completely unhinged in every area of my life that my period will start soon.

"the talk"

I decided to talk to my boss about my being in perimenopause and how I am having a really hard time. I was nervous. But as it turns out she's a year older than me and also in perimenopause! I feel so much relief that she was so supportive and someone I can talk to. I'm glad I talked to her because I was seriously thinking about not having the conversation at all

Really struggling

Why is it so hard to go out and do things that I know are fun and I know will be good for me!? There's a surprise birthday party for one of my best friends, who has cancer, I said I would be there, went and picked out a great gift and here I am 4 hours before the party wanting to call and make up a reason not to go. I love this woman and these friends who will be there. So WHY do I keep wanting to isolate myself at home and continue to feel miserable? Is this a part of peri? Or is my mental health just getting worse since I've always struggled with depression and anxiety since I was a teen. I'm 45 now and on HRT. It hasn't helped as much as I hoped but I know it's a process. The patches didn't work well for me for the estradiol so I am switching to the gel. I feel so overwhelmed that I just want to scream. Oh I will also add this. My boobs hurt really bad today. Is this a good enough reason to stay home? 🤣

The joys of perimenopause

I just want to feel good. If I'm not raging I'm bawling my eyes out or having a panic attack. All of these things seem to happen within the course of a day nearly every single day. I can't control them. My husband thinks it's all his fault and that he's done something wrong when all he wants to do is make me happy. I have to constantly reassure him. I'm exhausted and I really don't care about anything anymore. My work week begins tomorrow and I am laying in bed stressed about how I will fake my way through another long week on top of having company from out of town this weekend which I should be happy about because we are going to cook out and have fun presumably. Why do I get the feeling everyone else will have fun and I will be faking it to the point of sheer exhaustion just to get through it. Is this what my life is reduced to? Things I love don't even make me happy anymore. I'm just going through the motions miserably. I hate this so much. I'm 45. Been on HRT for nearly a year now. Had it adjusted and just recently changed to estrogen gel instead of patches because they just don't seem to be working right for me anymore. My doc said it's a tapering effect when I change patches twice weekly and only have 1 or 2 days where I am not completely crazy. Maybe the gel will help. It was changed today so I haven't started it yet but will be soon.

2:30 am wake up

I woke up at the usual time between 2-3 am and to go along with the anxiety I normally wake up with, this morning I had horrible menstrual cramps and lower back pain. I'm on day 87 so I'm obviously not having regular periods anymore. I got used to not having one for awhile. I'm not even bleeding. Just brown spotting. But the cramps felt like I was 14 again. This is like torture to cramp so much and it's so painful and not even bleed to get a release! I hate this so much. At least I have today off work and I can just try to nap and relax. But the backache definitely seems worse when I lay down and then the cramps start up again. I have my midol and a heating pad. I took a handful of Advil early this morning and it did help but now I can feel it wearing off a bit. I'm exhausted.

Late peri

When you started skipping periods like for months at a time, my last one was 6 months ago, did it make you feel worse? I have been increasingly feeling worse and I'm on HRT. It feels like constant PMS and like my period is trying to start and wants to start. I have cramps, backache, bloating all of the fun stuff every other week it feels like. I guess this is normal but it sucks and I am just wondering if anyone has experienced this? My period just stopped as soon as my HRT was increased. The estradiol patch from .375 to .5 and ,100 mg progesterone. A bit of spotting and then nothing for 6 months. Is this late peri? I hope it will just go another 6 months I can be done but I doubt it works like this most of the time. I'm exhausted all the time and everyone keeps telling me I seem down or off somehow. Of course I am! Everyday is a struggle and I just want a break. I told a girl I work with who is in her twenties that I would love to feel like I'm 20 again! I never realized how bad this would feel every single day it's something. I can't live a normal life anymore.
