[S][USA-CA] *repost, price cut* Peak Design Outdoor Backpack (25L) with camera cube and hip belt

Selling a couple used camera bags, both in good shape. I'll cover PayPal G&S fees, you cover shipping. Timestamp and photos here.

  • Peak Design Outdoor Backpack, black, 25L, with smedium camera cube and hip belt: $175 $200. I've taken this bag on a couple short trips, but other than some surface marks (see photos), it's in great shape. Comes with two never-used, like-new accessories: a Peak Design "smedium" camera cube, which is designed to fit this bag perfectly, and the optional hip belt. Retail price for all of this would be $370 ($250 for the backpack, $70 for the cube, $50 for the belt). Would prefer to sell all this together.
  • Clever Design Camera Sling, 6L (v1): $90. A nice little camera bag that I haven't used in a while. Some light wear on the leather bottom. SOLD

The beauty of Lower Grand

Building on yesterday's post, here are some more photos of Lower Grand Avenue that I've taken over the years (various cameras, film and digital). One of my favorite spots.

[S][USA-CA] Zeiss Ikon ZM rangefinder (silver) with Zeiss grip, Voigtlander 50mm f/1.5 Nokton Classic, Voigtlander 75mm f/1.9 Ultron

Selling a top-tier rangefinder and two lenses. I'll cover PayPayl G&S fees and shipping in the Continental U.S. Any questions, just let me know. Please comment here before messaging me. If you buy more than one item, we can talk about a discount. Timestamp and photos here.

  • Zeiss Ikon ZM: $1,600. Premium M-mount rangefinder with aperture-priority auto exposure and metered-manual modes; has frame lines for 28, 35, 50, and 85mm lenses. Overall, in excellent condition. Rangefinder patch is plenty contrasty, meter is spot-on. Note a few scratches on the back plate near the eyepiece. Comes with Carl Zeiss side grip, which usually sells separately for $100-$150 (there's a mark from the grip on thefront leatherette, btw). So why am I selling this great camera, with a pricey accessory, for just $1,600? Because you might want to have the rangefinder adjusted. It's not off by much, but when you focus at very distant objects (the moon, for instance) you can see that infinity focus is off by juuuust a hair. As a practical matter, I don't think it's an issue, at least not yet. I did a focus test indoors with a 90mm lens, and I think the results were about as good as you can expect from manually focusing a lens that long on a rangefinder. (Happy to send those photos to any potential buyers). But the fact remains, it isn't perfectly aligned, and you might want to have it adjusted.
  • Voigtlander 50mm f/1.5 Nokton Classic II (multi-coated): $400. Great lens, in good shape. Purchased this from CamereQuest years ago and have shot with it infrequently (I'm more of a 35mm guy). Comes with a bayonet-mounted square hood and a CatLabs rubber focus tab. SOLD
  • Voigtlander 75mm f/1.9 Ultron: $450. Recently discontinued, this is a really nice portrait lens. It's smaller (and a little slower) than the 75mm Nokton, bigger (and a little faster) than the new 75mm apo-skopar. I'm selling this one because I recently picked up the apo-skopar, which meets my 75mm needs. Nothing much to report here. I've shot with this quite a bit, and it's in good but not perfect shape. There's one visible speck of dust inside, not sure you can see it in any of the photos. This lens extends quite a bit when focused down to its minimum distance, so there's a fair amount of "breathing" that has to happen. Comes with the original box and paperwork. NOTE: The Zeiss Ikon does not have 75mm frame lines, so I wouldn't recommend pairing that camera and this lens.

Mason & Dixon -- Pynchon's best, methinks

Been working my way through the Pynchon catalog. Not done yet, but it will take a lot to top M&D.

Tetons, sunset and sunrise [Leica MP, 75mm apo-skopar and 35mm Nokton, Velvia 50]

"On the western side—without preamble, without foothills, with a sharp conjunctive line at the meeting of flat and sheer—were the Tetons, which seemed to have lifted themselves rapidly past timberline in kinetic penetration of the sky. ...

"The Tetons—with Jackson Hole beneath them—are in a category with Mt. McKinley, Monument Valley, and the Grand Canyon of the Colorado River as what conservation organizations and the Washington bureaucracy like to call a scenic climax."
